Coldwell Banker Mid America Group

Connie Siddens was the agent that I found on Angies list (has been removed) I contacted her about finding a home for us. We told her the price range, size of home, size of lot, locations we were willing to look in. What she showed us was no where near what we were looking for in either price or location. I  looked online myself for homes in the location and price range and she would refuse to show us them at all. Some were short sales or bankrupt sales and we were qualified to get a VA Loan. She would tell us that we couldn't have that home because of that. I contacted several other agents randomly and asked if the home would qualify for a VA Loan and 98% said yes of coarse. The other 2% said no because of the condition of the home(bad roof, foundation etc.) We met with her again and told her again what we wanted and we got the same results. Everything we looked at (refused to look at some) were in very bad neighborhoods or the price would be way over our budget. And she would not insult the listing agent of the home with a lowball offer.
When we did go look at one, she would say of how cute this or that, then ask us to make an offer because it wouldn't be around for long. Because of the low interest rates the housing market would have low inventory very quickly.
We actually were pressured by her to make an offer on a home we realized when we got home that we would never be happy there. That was the last straw and we refused all contact from her and found an agent that worked with us with no pressure to find us our dream home which he did.
I would not recommend Connie Siddens as she refused to listen to our needs or wants and wasted our time. I feel that we missed out on two very nice homes that were in our price range and location because she refused to show them because of them both being a short sale. I found out why she refused to show us those because short sale are notorious for being slow to close. As I have only had contact with her I can't rate Caldwell Bankers group in Ankeny.

We needed to sell my Father's house so he could complete his move to OH and start his retirement. We interviewed several realtors to find the correct person to help us sell my Father's unique house. Connie came out and spent about an hour and half walking the house and property and taking detailed notes of it all. She made sure she understood what we wanted and came back with a very good plan. She showed up during the packing process to set aside items for staging, but was helping pack as well. During the listing her communication back to me was excellent. That was truly appreciated since I was too far away to get a first hand look at what was happening. While we weren't able to get as much as we hoped from the sale, we were able to get it sold quickly which was a bigger goal for us. Connie was great throughout the whole process! I have many stories of all of the weird issues that came up during this sale and she worked through them all without a problem. If you have a chance to work with her to buy or sell a house, you will not be dissatisfied!!!
