Our experience with Bob and his team was wonderful! They were very responsive, showed up when they said they were going to be there and did great work. The tiling in the bathroom specifically in the shower turned out beautiful as well. Great people to work with!

In the May 2013 time frame they came out to fix water leaks around a couple of windows and replace damaged shutters. I was very pleased with the work performed, the professionalism, and the technical knowledge shown. Then several months later when several more leaks appeared in different areas of the house, I was glad I had someone to call, with whom I had a great experience with. They came out, took a look, and said I would be put on the "list". Weeks turned into months and then months turned into over a year. I called repeatedly and was told that I was still on the "list" and it wouldn't take long, they just needed to find that "one" day. I was always the one initiating the calling. To me it appeared that more lucrative jobs were taking precedence. I liked the work they did so much the first time I was willing to hang in there for over a year, but I finally gave up. I've rated them high for the work initially done, but a D for responsiveness and a C for professionalism for the second job that never happened.

"it was great working with the ketchums. it is good to see the review, and yes it took much longer to complete then it should of , but we had to basiclly rebuild the whole deck, much more then we were planning and the ketchums were great, patient clinets. also we had late decicions made on some of the products , that we had to special order which at one time i beleive were on back order, then when we finshed the deck itself, then we still needed a decicion on which railing they wanted and that had to be special ordered, but through it all they were happy customers and would aggain hire me back and i thank them verymuchand for the work and there patience working through the projeck. i do have pitures of the whole projeck i would like to post on angies list with their permission."

I called Bob to get an estimate for replacing our frost free exterior faucet that was leaking. I expected to set an appointment for him to come do the estimate and then another one for him to actually do the work. Bob asked me some questions then gave me an idea of what the job would cost. He was able to come within 2 days. He brought the new parts with him but after examining our faucet, said he said he could take the old one apart and repair it if we would rather do that. After a bit of discussion I decided to go with the new part, but really appreciated knowing I had options that could be a bit cheaper. As Bob replaced the faucet, he gave the pipe a bit more slant so that the water would drain out more readily, and not be as likely to break when it freezes.
Out of the goodness of his heart, Bob also removed a second faucet and patched up the hole that was left.--That faucet was left there by a previous plumber because he didn't have anything to patch it with!
We are very pleased with the work, the timing, and the price! I will call him the next time I need work done and will not hesitate to recommend his company!

It went well. Bob was the most reasonable out of all of the bids that I received, he also allowed us to purchase a lot of the materials ourselves, which ended up saving us money with rebates. He also thought to rent a port-a-john as we were going to be without our only bathroom for at least 2 weeks, which turned out to be an absolute necessity. Once the project was started, Bob was really good about calling me either every day or every other day to keep me in the loop on where they were at project wise. His team was good about cleaning up after themselves and was always professional.
When I say gutted our bathroom, I mean that literally - it was tore out down to the studs with all new drywall, tub/shower surround, flooring, vanity and cabinets. The bathroom is amazing - showroom beautiful for sure.
Bob was great about advising me on different things that he could do that would assist with the improvements - such as using the remaining tile in our little laundry area rather than the vinyl - he thought this would create a more stable environment, especially because with the age of our home, being level just wasn't something that came easy.
I did have Bob come back after the work was complete for just a couple of minor issues, such as a tightening of a faucet and a minor vinyl correction, that he took care of immediately. I would highly recommend Bob and his son, Robert for any project and Bob's Home Improvement will be my first call for any future home improvement projects.

Our final project completed was very pleasing. There were a few minor details that we pointed out about 3/4 of the way through the process...like "it needs a touch up of paint here," or something fixed here. After we saw the end result and how everything looked, we realized we probably didn't need to point out any minor flaws we saw b/c Bob would have caught them himself. I think Bob wanted it to look good enough for it to be his own house.

Bob's Home Improvement did a great job with remodeling an unfinished bathroom. Labor and material costs were close to what was estimated. We selected an Iowa-made vanity and medicine cabinet that nicely complement the existing woodwork and cabinetry in our home. The work was completed with few delays and passed city inspection with flying colors.

"I built them a custom composite deck in june , 2013 (not this year,) they were very happy and had no complaints . surprised at reveiw if not happy should have called . we did everything we could to fit them in because they were in a hurry to sell their home. we like to make things right .But we can not if we don't know ."

Bob was very prompt in getting back to us when we contacted him about the project. He suggestions as to how to design the new bathroom was very helpful. He suggested and assisted in the selection of the appropriate materials. We were kept informed throughout the entire process and checked with frequently to be sure things were going the way we wanted. His estimate was "right on". Bob and his team were very professional and a pleasure to work with.
