Even though there are few alternative repair locations in Ames, that doesn't mean that Hometown Tech was in any way subpar. They were prompt, cheap, and highly communicative. Nick was very knowledgeable about custom builds, and I would expect a high quality repair if I brought a standard computer or laptop. I will certainly be using them for any future repair or diagnostic needs I may have. The only negative of the experience was that putting my 40-50 lbs computer back in the box for transport was not well planned, leading to a dent on the side panel that I didn't notice until I got home; however, I would not expect this type of issue for a typical customer.
I would not hesitate to visit Hometown Tech in the future; plus, its a good excuse to visit the Cupcake Emporium.

Nick fixed my laptop and did a great job. Design flaw that would have cost me a lot more to get a new part.
