I called Tom Hinders Jr. on the second day of a five inch note because he did not show up the first day, I called him four times during the day and he told me that after 45 minutes to an hour, he will be there, but he never showed up. So later that day, I called him one more time and he told me he was just finishing his other snow removal jobs and he was on his way to my place, but he never showed up. No good.

I was very pleased with them. The work they did was of very high quality. I don't recall what their charges were because it was contained in the whole bill.

While I did not end up using this service provider, I just want to make a few comments on my experience with him. We needed a flashing/vent repaired on the roof. Not knowing what to do, a friend gave us a list of roof repairers. I went down this list calling them to explain the situation. For a variety of reasons I did not get positive responses - too busy or job too small or didn't call back. Then I called Tom Hinders at Hinders and Associates who responded right away. When I told him about the problem, he put me at ease in getting the repair done quickly and that he would stop by in a couple of days. I was ready to have him do the job.
In the mean time, because of the frustrations I was having in finding someone, a friend helped find someone else who came the day before Tom Hinders was scheduled to come and did the repairs. I then called Tom back to tell him that the roof was repaired and did not need his services. He was very gracious about it and expressed his pleasure that the problem with the roof was fixed.
I am writing this is to mention that my experience withTom Hinders was exceptionally delightful and positive compared to all the other roof repairers I contacted. Tom Hinders was professional and came across as a concerned and sympathetic person wanting to helping me with my repair needs. He appeared to be happy to get the job done, regardless of size, so my (the customer) needs were met.

Tom was extremely helpful - listened to what we wanted, offered ideas when we weren't sure - and did a fantastic job!

We talked several times for him to come and give me an estimate. He
never showed. I called him back twice to see what the problem was. The
first time he admitted he forgot. After the second time I just stopped
calling. I figured if I had to keep calling him just to get an estimate
it wasn't worth my time.
I don't like the review form where it specifically gives you a choice 'if work was performed' but it won't let you continue unless you put a date in the block. NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. I just put the first date he was supposed to come for an estimate.

Work was never performed because he never returned my call after our first discussion.

The screws holding our storm door closer mounts to the door frame had pulled loose. I called Tom and asked him to come over to give an estimate on replacing that part of the door frame. After two missed appointments, he finally came over, after profusely apologizing for not coming over when agreed upon (twice!) nor calling to say he wouldn't be able to make it. Anyway, he did come over, and found a quicker and easier solution to more securely mounting the mounts---and did not charge us anything for the service. We are happy with the end result, but were a little frustrated in trying to arrange to get him to actually come out and perform the work.

He did an excellent job matching colors and also the woodwork. I was very impressed. He was very professional and did a good job of cleaning everything up when he was finished. The estimate was prompt and was close to the final bill.
