They were very good. The amount I paid them was for each time they did the work. I keep using them because of their competitive pricing and the quality of their work.

It was a very positive experience! Dan and his crew were very detail-oriented and made a lot of terrific suggestions for the project. They were all very easy to work with. There were some brief delays: the doors didn't arrive when originally scheduled by Home Depot; there were some short delays when they needed to work on another job that involved outside painting, and the need for good weather, and with a tight deadline. That all worked OK for me, and I didn't see it as a problem. They managed to keep moving on my project.
I should mention that some aspects of the job were done separately, namely the electrical and HVAC (some pipes for the furnace needed to be relocated). That was my request, I wanted to use firms that I already had a business relationship with. Dan was very flexible about it. Those services were billed separately. Also, I bought some of the materials: the French doors and the light fixtures. The total cost of the project is around $9,000.
They did a beautiful job! I'm thrilled with the result. It really was fun. I would absolutely use Dan again and don't hesitate to recommend him.

I've hired Dan before, and he did exactly what I asked both times. He has some of the lowest rates around, especially considering he does high-quality work. I didn't even ask for a quote his last time because I know he is reasonable, and I don't want to nickel and dime someone who does good work. He knows what he is doing, and finds good solutions that I may not think of, because he has quite a bit of experience. I found him word of mouth because he did a great job on my friend's deck. If you are clear with him he understands what you want and will show up when you ask, or let you know if he can't. This last time I was in a hurry and he knew it so he made a point to get it done. If you aren't in a hurry, he has plenty of work so may schedule later. Big jobs may be harder to schedule, but that's always the case. It's a relief to find someone I can trust this much who can do so many different kinds of jobs, from small to large. And if he doesn't do it, he can find someone who can.

I would not recommend them. They kept saying that they would come out and they didn’t. I never heard from them and they kept putting it off. Even though it was not raining, they didn’t show up until finally we had to postpone them because we were on vacation. He gave me a quote of $850 on doing the siding on the whole chimney. However, they did some parts of the siding and wanted to charge me $600 something which was not right. His final bill had some error and he was charging me extra by some calculation mistake which I caught. The overall picture looked like it was done on purpose because of everything else that he did. I didn’t trust him.
