STERMAN REALTY LTD

When we initially got to the unit we immediately noticed that it was dirty (sand in every single bed, the floors were dirty etc). We also noticed the refrigerator had a pretty bad leak, but having rented quite a few condos in the past (as we have been traveling for the last few years for my finances job) we didn't complain. We cleaned the place ourselves and just made the best of it. By the end of the first week here however, we were ready to move out! As it turns out this unit is directly under a family of six renting a one bedroom condo (with a small loft). The noise was unbearable! I can only describe it as nonstop Stomping all day and night. Then there is the screaming by the two youngest children, directly outside our front door. We contacted Susan stone to complain, and she claimed she had never gotten a complaint before about the noise...we requested the property managers info so that we could deal with it directly with them. Susan would not give us that info, but said she would pass the info along to the appropriate party. We continued to complain with no change to our situation until we finally insisted that Sterman Realty move us to a different condo. They claim to have tried, but said that one of the owners of our unit simply refused to let us out of our lease. The other owner being more resonable agreed to let us go. So Susan Stone suggested that we "compromise" with the one owner by letting them keep the remaing balance of our rent through sept, even though we were moving out...They said they would move us if we pay half of the rent we already paid in advance Again! Call me crazy, but why on earth would we Pay for lodging twice because the accomodations were not acceptable? We refused to do that, so consequently we are still stuck here. We finally got the property managers contact info on our own, and we were able to confirm with her that there have been COUNTLESS complaints about these tenants in the past. So the long and the short of it is that we have been lied to.. We have six more weeks here, but I just don't want anyone else to be taken advantage of by Sterman Realty ( particularly Susan Stone). I have never taken the time to give a bad review to any company in writing before, so I hope that the readers of this review understand the level of dissatisfaction we had using this company.
