About us
HandyWorks is a small Veteran owned handyman service that was started by Paul Boultinghouse in 2003 and has been providing exceptional handyman workmanship to the island of Oahu since. We put a lot of pride in every project we handle, from changing light switches to custom bathroom remodels, and our ultimate goal is to take our customers ideals and make them a reality. One of the ways we accomplish this by taking the time to meet with our customers at their location, at no charge, to discuss their project and how we can best help them. It gives us great satisfaction to see a smile on our customers face when we have finished their project. HandyWorks commitment to our customers is to be honest and reliable while providing quality handyman services at a reasonable rate. It was very good. His work was excellent. When I called him in, he assessed what I wanted him to do. Initially I had told him I wanted a lot of wooden work replaced because I thought it was damaged-termite damage but he assessed it and realized I didn't need everything I had asked him for. So he just replaced the things that were necessary and I thought that was good because I think his price was fixed rate so the longer he stayed, the more it cost but that wasn't what he was trying to do. He was good on the followup and the call.

He came when scheduled. He was very efficient. He stayed within the time frame that he gave me to do the work. He was on-par with the price he quoted. We did not see any overage. He is reliable, does his job well, and brings his own tools. He maintains the schedule that he gives you so that you can feel comfortable that you do not have to worry about hanging around for him. I plan to use him again in the future.

They did an okay job, the painting was not as good as it could have been but the other work was very well done. We called 4-5 companies and this is the only one who responded back. He should have done things better.

He was very skilled, pleasant, cared about his work, was neat and clean, a pleasure to interact with and we felt completely comfortable having him in our home. We are very pleased with his work and will use him again. One trick is to text him in the early morning to connect with him. When he is working during the day, he tends to not take calls and he's not always the quickest at returning his voice mail. However, he likes to show up early for his jobs and wait in the car. If you text him then he will get right back to you and your communications are quick and easy.

Job went well. Handyworks was the only one with the ingenuity to repair the fallen mailbox post rather than to remove/replace it.
That saved a considerable amount of time and money, less than half the cost and probably less than half the time as well.
All in all, very much pleased with the service performed.

My experience with HandyWorks was just average. What they did is okay. He didn't come back for the last day. I guess it was work he didn't care to do. I paid him every day. I don't prefer to pay people up front, but he needed the money, so I paid him every day. He did good workmanship but he's not too reliable.

For the 2 1/2 days that he was there, he was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, effective, and pleasant. He did a grade A job, was reasonable, and I would totally have him do more work when I need it. Thank you Paul!

All we wanted him to fix the door bell wiring. My licensed electrician only took him one hour to fix it. But it took Paul a full day to look into it but never fix it. Fencing need to be lifted up but he broke all the corner of our wooden fences. Overall, He damaged them all.
