Now our home has two big holes in the walls.  It is no longer watertight, and we hope we can remedy that before the winter rains start.  We have to pay to get proper frames put on all these windows, and we are told it will be six weeks before they can arrive on the island.  Meanwhile we have to find another contractor when we have already wasted six months of waiting based on Krueger's promise to complete this job by the end of the year.  On the one day his carpenters spent here trying to install the windows, we brought it to Krueger's attention that they were block framed instead of nailing fin framed.  He admitted he couldn't install them on our wood framed home.  All of this is solely because he did not correct the word "block frame" to read "nailing fin" on the window order.  We did not know about these things, but were relying on him to catch it when he read the actual order and put his approval on it.  Instead of working it out with us, he simply decided to walk, and left us holding the bag, having paid for $2,500 worth of windows we can't presently use.  And that is our real problem with him:  Yes, he made a mistake, and we were willing to work it out.  But the fact that he decided to simply walk and leave us with this mess is totally unprofessional and lacking in any conscience whatsoever.  We trusted this guy!  And we are shocked that he treated us this way.  Beware!  Any contractor who would simply walk out on a client who is wanting to work it out in spite of HIS mistake can't be recommended to anyone.
