I took a family pet-a 14 year old cat who is blind and cannot eat nor drink-to this vet to have our cat put down peacefully. We have used this vet for years, but have not been satisfied with them after they went corporate. I was told I did not need an appt. When I arrived, I had to fill out a form and was told to wait and after a few minutes, the cat and I were taken to an exam room and told the first available dr. would be with us soon. An hour later, I walked to the front desk and asked how much longer it would be. No one had checked with us-no one had stopped in to say the dr. will be here soon. We had been forgotten. I explained to another receptionist that we had been waiting and asked how much longer it might be. She stared at me and asked "You don't have an appointment?". I told her I was told I would not need one. She had to look up the cat's records which took time and then said "I will ask the dr." and walked out. By then, I was crying. Twelve minutes later, she still wasn't back, so my cat and I left. When putting down a pet that is a part of your family. a bit of compassion would help. I told my daughter, who lives on Maui, and she called the vet and gave them an earful. She asked where their compassion was. They told her to tell me to come right back out and they would take care of the cat. No way will I ever go to this vet again. No way.

When I showed up two guys came from the back and took the dog. They told me to sit down and relax. I was afraid that my dog was dying. They then came to me with a bright-red sheet of paper. The paper told me all the things that they would do or wouldn't do, and that I'd pay them a $500.00 emergency fee. I had to give them $500.00 before they even looked at my dog. Someone came out to tell me that someone had recommended blood work, x-rays and a lot of other things that would cost $1300.00. My dog was cold to the touch when I took him there and needed care immediately. My dog had tooth marks all over it when I took it, in so I don't understand why they needed to do x-rays. I agreed for them to do the x-ray but not the blood work. They then went and discussed that. I asked to see my dog, and they refused to let me. I went back there without their permission. I saw a guy carrying my dog to the x-ray machine. The veterinarian was in there talking on the phone. The two ladies who were at the front desk came in and grabbed me by both arms and removed me from the room. They called me back to look at the x-rays and told me that there wasn't anything they could see except for possibly a cracked rib. They told me that my dog's body temperature had dropped ten degrees. They told me they were making him a sweater out of some puffy paper material. The veterinarian then told me that she was leaving and going home, but someone would stay there and check on my dog once an hour. They told me to go home and that my dog would be fine. After I had spent so much money there they told me that if I didn't like things that I could take my dog home. I should have taken him home. They told me that they would call me at eight o'clock the next morning. They did indeed call me and told me that my dog died in the ladies arms as she was carrying him to the scale to weigh him. I do not know why they were weighing a dying dog. They started trying to sell me plots, cremation or urns while on the same phone call. I drove straight there and was very mad. I asked them for my dog, and they tried selling me plots, urns and stuff. I told them to give me my dog in a cardboard box. They told me that they didn't have a cardboard box. I told them to give him back to me in the towel that I brought him in. They then told me that I was making a scene. They told me to stop or to go outside. I then told them again to give me my dog. They told me that they would call the police, so I told them to do that. A lady came over and put her arm around me and told me she knew how much the dog meant to me. She took me into an exam room and tried turning on a light. It was an energy-efficient light, but it wouldn't come on. She wanted to take me to another room, but I told her it was fine. She came back in order to tell me not to be shocked because he would be cold and stiff. She said the reason that he was cold and stiff, was because they put him in the freezer. They called me at 8:00 am, and I was there by 8:30 am. I laughed because it was kind of obvious. There is no way that he died when she said he did. I think he was dead before I left there. She carried him out to my car in a cardboard box. When we went to bury him, he was frozen solid. I did file a report with my credit card company, but they still paid it.

They are a group of vets so you do not see the same one every time unless you set a specific appointment. All of the vets and techs we have dealt with have been professional, pleasant, and done a great job. They have extensive hours 7 days per week. You do not need an appointment to have the nails cut.
