Auto Painting
Very well. Car was finished within 24 hrs. Maaco arranged a discount auto rental for the period needed to go back for some touch up on underside of trunk. Touchup completed. No charge.

Auto Painting
We went to get a quote for my car that needed both painting and auto
body work. We were met by Collin Riley (owner's son) who seemed
irritable and impatient from the start. As he was giving the quotes to
us, we started asking questions like what kind of paint do you use, does
it include clear coat, do we have to repaint whole car vs the areas
that needed paint. He became irrate and sarcastic as we started asking
more questions. He would give us answers like, "if you want three shiny
spots on your car that is noticeable you can just paint affected areas-
be my guest" Or things like of course it includes clear coat if you
let me finish. I did not like his responses so I told him he was rude
and said forget the quote we are not going to use you. Colin became
furious and started swearing using the F word especially when I told him
that Maaco Pearl Ciy in Hawaii as 10 claims with BBB and negative yelp
reviews complaining about rudeness, arrogance and threats by him. I
told him I was going to just get a quote to give Maaco the benefit of
the doubt but after spending 15 minutes talking to him, I could tell he
had no idea how to react to questions and treat customers. After Collin
started swearing and say the F word, he approached my boyfriend
telling him he wanted to fight him and settlle this now. We went in
our car and tried to drive away. Collin then blocked us from leaving
the lot and stepped in front the car. He continued to pursue a fight
and continued to use abusive language. Aftefr standing in front of hte
car and blocking us from leaving he claims we ran over his foot and has
this on video. Then he said, you are going to jail for running over my
foot - you are going down. He said to a worker to call the cops and we
were so fed up that we also called the cops and filed a police report.
We want to press assault charges against Collin and report him to Maaco
but did not know he was the owners son till he said go ahead and report
me- we are the owners. Feel free to call the Maaco headquarters and
gave me a card that I obviously did not take.
After doing research on this franchise, we find out that this happened before several times ove r
the years and complaints have been made against him mentioning his
name. I called Andy Riley the owner and advised him of what happened and
he came out and said he cannot fire Collin being that he is the son.
We want to make sure this does not happen to anyone else and have filed
complaints with Better Business Bureau in Hawaii, DCCA and Maaco
Headquarters. I also called them and left messages but did not get any
return calls yet. We will go to the media - action line or whatever it
takes to tget this guy fired and press charges for assault.
People be aware not to go to Maaco. We also found out from reviews and
complaints read that the paint jobs they do are cheap and fade quickly.
Collin is also known for trying to take advantage by jacking the costs
up when he realizes that insurance will cover the damages. Do your
research about this company before going to them.

Auto Painting, Auto Body Work
Customer beware of this business and the tactics that they use when you try to leave without giving them your business. Colin Riley (son) and Richard Andrew Riley (owner) don't understand how to deal with customers that come in for a simple estimate. This A-HOLE was aggressive towards us and made numerous threats to me personally when we tried to leave and consistantly used every profanity language in the book and in the presence ot nearby on-lookers.
I don't recommend MAACO AUTO REPAIR in PEARL CITY, HAWAII to anyone. They have a negative review and an "F" for poor customer relations and an "A" for using VULGAR LANGUAGE.

Auto Painting
The auto's repainted were showing paint the paint clear coat peeling. They had to strip the entire existing pain down to the metal surface and repaint the cars completely. One of the cars was showing slight rust which they repaired. The other auto had some small dents and scrapes which were removed. They did each car separately and took only 2 days for the completion of each car and they look like new cars. One is a 2000 model the other is 2005. The held to their price quote with no surprises.
