David's responded by repairing and securing the loose shingles, at no additional cost to me. As before, I received a call from Davelyn to make certain that all concerns were addressed. The company performed responsibly and ethically.

They were pretty dependable. Quality of the work was good. Customer service was good. They followed up to see if we liked it and things like that. Probably it took about 4 days. We were satisfied with what they did.

Job was completed by 10/14/2015. 

,There was a delay in starting the job due to backlog of work and the unusual number of storms and with it the rains this year.  David's called a few days before they started to let us know that they were coming, Started the job promptly, and cleaned up after the job very nicely.  Any concerns we had were immediately addressed to our satisfaction, so far. The Owner of the business, Mr. David Leong personally came to see the job and introduced himself to me, which I thought was very caring of him.  Mr. Raymond Namba, the estimator also was very professional in suggesting that I keep a couple of bundles of the same shingles just in case of a storm  and when I needed replacement shingles. Their Foreman, Russell, was extraordinarily attentive in insuring that no damage was caused in the course of the job.

He showed up when he scheduled--took about an hour less than he had estimated--did a good job.  Was very polite and professional

From start to finish everyone from David's was helpful, and responsive to my needs. I live in a housing association so I needed a sample. Boom Baba drops off that day.... Have questions about scheduling etc... Boom Micah gets right back to me. Needed carpentry work done... Boom carpenter gets a quick quote and David's handles his scheduling. Showed up when they said they would. cleaned up after themselves. Great craftsmanship and professionalism.. Just waiting for the carpenter to paint his newly installed wood........ Even if these guys are a little more expensive than someone else USE DAVID'S!!!! You get what you pay for!!

They were fantastic and very professional.   They were always on time and did what they said.  They looked for the cheapest way and worked with us.  We had a claim through All State and they worked with them.  The whole thing was a good experience.  It was a good job.  They had to replace the whole thing and the house is built very funky and there is no plywood and they have to put plywood down before you do composite roofing.

Concerned about "spongy" flat roof prior to installing photovoltaic system.  Determined that it should be replaced and contracted David's.  Tear off and reroof very time efficient; two crews for part of the time due to scheduling compensations - your milage may vary.  Discovered that abutting sloped roof had water under the shingles.  Contracted for sloped roof replacement.  Relatively efficient: the shingles had been tarred down (!?), but no adjustment charged for harder labor.  Damaged wood, cracked skylights and standing water in gutters observed during work: personally verified after shown pictures.  The solar water system had been problematic and after disconnecting to allow roof work, confirmed that so many components should be replaced, that a new, more efficient system was a better long-term choice. 
David's has the resources for any size job - delay from a tough prior job compensated by partial double crew.  This may not always happen.  I liked the elevating dump truck that mnimized debris scattering from the second floor roof, but the clean-up was pretty good anyway.  David's is pretty popular and therefore pretty busy - scheduling could go out a month or more, especially if you wait for the pre-rainy season rush.
David called to thank me after each contract stage/deposit and after complete payment.  Daughter Davelyn is the general manager and came out after each problem came up reported by the crew chief.  Yes, she zipped right up the ladder to see what was up and then explained to me.  She and the scheduler, Micah, seem quite busy, but always willing to answer my questions and concerns. 
David, and maybe Davelyn, review each job scope (photos) and estimate, the story is, because he stands behind the work.  I really won't know for sure without going through some rain cycles, but I feel pretty good.  I don't want to read too much into it, but the fact that everyone takes the time with a single homeowner suggests a top to bottom commitment to service.  You could probably find a better price or quicker turnaround out there, but there's something in the assurance that they will be around next year and the year after that.

They did a great job though it was one of their first metal roofs so the planning took awhile. The actual reroofing was done quickly. They were very attentive and took the time to do their homework.  Overall very professional and a quality job.

Very flexible in meeting schedule changes. Showed up on time. Completed work quickly and cleaned up an oil spill. I have used David for four roofs over the years. Never a problem.

I can't comment on price because I didn't shop.  David's came highly recommended and I can see why.  They do a fantastic job and were an absolute pleasure to deal with in every respect.

During our home inspection, the inspector pointed out a potential problem shingle on the roof.
We called David's Roofing to have them come by and take a look/free inspection.
The receptionist took down our information and Bubba had called shortly thereafter. Bubba was prompt in arriving at the scheduled time. Upon further inspection, no work needed to be done but Bubba was a pleasure to talk to and get suggestions on a few related items.

I had termite tenting and solar panels installed so wanted a roofer to check and repair any damage.   I also had signs of an old leak that I wanted them to look at.  The estimator came out to look and told me how many manhours he thought it would take and what they planned to do. Then I got the estimate by email, and I called to confirm that the work would address my concerns.  We scheduled a date for the repairs, they came as planned.  It took a few weeks for them to send the invoice but I finally got it with a Thank You note for my business.  They came when they said, did what they said, and David called to follow up on my satisfaction with the job.

Everything was done according to our contract. The workers were hard workers, very pleasant and kept us informed on the progress as they went along. They cleaned up everything at the end of each day, there was nothing left on the grounds. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Went very well. Actually met with the estimator twice. The second time was so that my wife could see the sample colors and choose which one she wanted. The estimator also explained the work to be done; the materials to be used. He also explained the options for different methods of installation and their various advantages. Received the proposal the next day. Price was lower than other company's bid. Signed and faxed back the acceptance. Told them that I wanted to complete the project as soon as possible as I was going to have PV installed. They did their best to accommodate and the re roofing was done within 30 days. Roof is beautiful and have gone through a few heavy rains since then with no leaks.

"ONCE A CUSTOMER ALWAYS  A FRIEND"   Back in September of 2008, David's Custom Roofing & Painting repaired our roof when a fumigation company broke a number of tiles when tenting our home.  Mark, their roof repair specialist came out and did a great job then.  Now in 2013 , Mark was back to do our repairs again.  Because the color of our tiles are now unavailable, another color was used. Mark moved similarly colored tiles to the more visible areas of the roof to keep a more uniformed look to our roof. Mark returned three days later giving the newly installed coating and fabric at the lead area, ample time for proper drying, then did the finishing touches and the work was complete.  

Everything went just as expected, maybe even a little faster as we had planned for 5 days and it only took 4.  Highly recommend for their professionalism, quality, and product.  It was an all around good experience.

After I compaining about possible leakage after it rain stop raining, amd after a reviev by his representative (possible his son), David blamed it on condensation, even though the roof did not show condensatin prior to David]s Custom Roofing did the the repair.
His representative, whisperpering, which I overheard. said, the David's Custom Roofing may have use second grade material.
    I feel, when I first met and talk with David, I was still trying to recovering from a stroke and two pass.

les Overall the quality of workmanship and the dedication to ensure my roof
will no longer leak was admirable.  They were running behind on other
projects and commence my roof repair 2 days late.  They also took longer
than estimated to work on my roof.  I was up there on the upper deck
most of the time to watch and learn.  They had more than adequate number
of workers and were truly concerned with my leak.  I will recommend
them to anyone requiring roof repair for a leak.

Daves was recommended by the solar voltaic contractor for purchase of work and materials as well as coordination.  Contacted Daves and met with sales person who provided us with a large number of choices for the new roof.  Once we decisions were made the work was scheduled as well as both photovoltaic and solar water contractor phasing.  The workers arrived on the scheduled date, after confirmation of work a couple of days earlier by Daves.  All work was completed as well as clean up as anticipated.  The cost was a little higher than some of the other bids but we are very happy with the outcomes.
