Windward was called out to replace a non working switch on our lanai door that prevents the air conditioner from being operated when the door is open. They had installed this switch a couple of months earlier.
On arrival they complained about some other work done by a prior contractor. They said that the door switch couldn't work with an installed return air thermostat. ( not true we later found out ). I allowed them to disconnect the return air thermostat.
We called the company that had installed the return air thermostat out and they discovered that Windward had also disconnected a dampness sensor which is needed to turn the unit off in the event that there is a moisture buildup around the air handler. This is a very important piece of equiptment to prevent water damage to our home.
When I called Windward to come back and repair the damage they had done they refused to come back out. We eneded up having to pay the second contractor to repair the damage.
