Matt is our "McGyver. He charges by the hour, not by the job so saves us lots of $. He lives in Maui where he works on & off with a general contractor for customized houses for the rich. We reimburse him for airfare & cover his room & board (stays with us). Matt is my husband's friend from college. He comes to Oahu for a working "vacation." He loves the variety of eating places here. We told him that he can stay with us when he has other Oahu construction jobs (in between Maui jobs) & borrow our power tools. He made our house handicap accessible in 2010 by installing ramp for front door & leveling off enclosed patio. Designed & built 2 decks. He gets along with our baby, big dogs & cat. We offer Matt hot coffee in the am and cold beer in the afternoon. In 4/13 he came over the weekend to replace our leaky shower & install deck rails.
