Bob was AMAZING. The work was done on time and on budget, and it is BEAUTIFUL. Bob's work is the highest quality you can imagine. He takes pride in his work - his craftsmanship is meticulous. And he was super at staying in touch, giving us status updates, responding to questions, and offering suggestions on the design that improved the end result - and in some cases helped make the project more affordable. He made us beautiful custom bamboo cabinets, brought in the best subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, tile, countertop fabrication, painting, air conditioning - it was all flawless. If you've ever had any work done on Maui, you've probably heard of Maui time. It's a real thing. We experienced it with another contractor on another renovation we'd done a couple years ago. It'll drive a homeowner to distraction. Bob doesn't work on Maui time. He knew our schedule from the beginning, committed to meeting it, and did. The project was an absolute joy. I've heard people say Bob is expensive. He's not. Because initially his schedule was full for our preferred construction date, we had gotten a bid from another contractor. Then Bob's schedule opened up, and we asked him to bid the project as well. The bids were within just about $1,000 of each other - even though the other contractor was only going to give us semi-custom cabinets made on the mainland, rather than the custom bamboo cabinetry Bob made for us. If we are ever fortunate enough to buy another property on Maui, I hope Bob is available to do the construction. Because there's no one else I'd want to work with
