LeLuxe Hawaii Photography

We went from Ohio to Maui to get married. We used LeLuxe Photography to arrange portions of the wedding and photography. We provided the marriage license and minister. They provided: On-site wedding planner (Kyle Evanko), beach permit, event liability insurance, single white orchid lei, tei leaf lei, standard size wedding bouquet (florist’s choice), Best of Both Lights photo package including the best 70 professionally edited digital photos with personal use print release. The price below did not include tax or gratuity. Kyle was extremely effective with the planning portion (A) or I would have rated the quality lower. My issue with the experience was that the professional photographer, Lena Evanko, did not take our photos. Her husband Kyle, did. Just because we paid him, does not make him a professional photographer. And while the photos were adequate, there were many shots where the lighting was wrong or the poses were awkward. I had a friend at home edit my ~25 favorite shots to improve the quality. Immediately after the wedding I was quite upset. Now, after some time and perspective, I can rate them overall as good. Just be forewarned about who is actually taking your photos.
