I contacted Jim after my original contractor cancelled the job after I had already ordered all of my cabinets from Home Depot. Jim promptly got into my condo, looked at the job, and gave me an estimate ASAP.  I hired him without ever meeting him based on my phone conversations with him.  Jim even took the time to go to HD and meet with the kitchen design people to go over my project and get drawings before starting work.



Jim started the project on the exact day it was to start, demo'd my existing kitchen, took delivery of all of the cabinets, installed all of the new cabinets, counter tops, and tile.  He even had a professional electrician come in to double check the electrical work was done correctly.  As I live in California, Jim emailed me pictures and kept me updated every day.  Everything came out beautiful and professional.  Jim even did a few extras that he saw needed doing in the condo. Also, he was super about suggesting changes and additions that made the project come out even nicer than I had expected.



Oh, and the job was finished ON TIME!!  which is a huge bonus, especially on Maui with so many flakey contractors.  I was able to get my new renters in on time.  I am definitely having Jim do more work in the future and highly recommend him.  Do not take the advice of the one negative review since the person never worked with Jim.  He is very professional and knows what he is doing.  I do not blame him for not taking on the other project that gave him a bad review.

I bought a stripped out (only toilets remained) deeply soiled repo condo in Kihei that needed a complete remodeling, while I live on the mainalnd. I needed someone trustworthy. I gave him a set of keys and my trust.
Jim Yaple acted as my general contractor & local agent superving some contract work (installing bamboo flooring and supervising painters) while he rebuilt and tiled the lanai (it sloped the wrong way), solved some wiring problems (for instance, a loose wire in one GFI outlet box that affected an outlet in another room that did NOT EVEN share a common wall) installed a new dishwasher, built a new over stove cabinet for a larger microwave and custom cabinets and shelving int two bathrooms, etc.. To save me money he even resurfaced and painted wood trim so I did not have to replace pieces that were already proven correctly "cut to fit".
He was relible responsible and efficient. A year later when friends were using the condo and the kitchen sink faucet suddenly needed repair, he fixed it that evening for our guests convenience and my relief.

as above converted a shellinto a luxury home without any headaches when we arrived from the mainland, he had prepared two oveflowing plates of island delicasies that fed us for days. He is also arranging service on the 10 yr old jeep he found fo us - we love it.
