A Sound Mind Home Inspection

Very good inspection and helpfulness. Extra $100 added to bill for travel that was not disclosed.

We chose A Sound Mind Home Inspection based on our realtor's recommendation. We attended the 3+ hour home inspection and learned a lot about the home we ended up purchasing. 
Beau was very professional and took his time looking over the entire house, top to bottom, inside and out. He wrote his report on site, and gave us a printout after. He walked us through all of his notes and pointed out anything he recommended we tend to in the near future. 
I appreciated Beau's knowledge and the time he took to explain everything to us. We were confident moving forward we had chosen the right property and knew right away what we needed to work on/improve.

Home inspection was completed by Beau of A Sound Mind Home Inspection.  Beau arrived on time and proceeded to inspect the property inside and out.  The inspection was very detailed and complete on the exterior and interior.  Beau met with the buyers and walked the property with them to show his findings.  Once that was completed he sat with them to go over the report and discussed their questions and concerns.  Beau was very informative. Beau has a very easy way about him and is able to speak to the clients on a level they are able to understand.  His patience is a gift to those who work with him.  I would recommend A Sound Mind Home Inspection to anyone needing this service.

The inspection was cursory. He did not arrange to have the electricity turned on in advance so he could not test the refrigerator and some other appliances. He was reluctant to answer questions. He did not care when we objected to his refusal to respond. I recently had another home inspection by Paul Signore and his work was outstanding.

Beau was very thorough in checking the property and was a really nice guy with great tips on every aspect of our house that we asked about.  The home is only 6 years old but was a previous foreclosure and had been unoccupied for a year and he addressed all the things that could go wrong in an unoccupied home. His report was very detailed involving pictures.  We are interested in doing a lot of upgrades to the house and he was great about recommending everything from the easiest-maintenance grass and landscaping/masonry elements to the best flooring & paint that would withstand our kids and dog, to even recommending cleaning products that are great for the environment and keep bugs away.  I thought he was very helpful. We were present the entire time and I'm really glad because my husband and I will be first time homeowners and we learned a lot from Beau.  It was well worth an afternoon off from work.  He did provide a detailed report, but being there and asking questions you can pump out a lot more information.  I gave the price a "B" because to be honest I didn't shop around at all so I don't know what to compare the price to.  Our Real Estate lawyer highly recommended Paul Signore who was not available during the two week time period when we could do the inspection, so Paul Signore highly recommended Beau Patrone. I decided to go with a strong recommendation so I'd have confidence in the inspection.
