After numerous spotty responses from other electricians varying from being hesitant to doing the work, wanting to charge over $600, to simply being aloof. I accepted her home adviser invite. One thing I look for in a contractor is how willing they are to talk shop with me and to explain every step of the way. I understand most people are not technically savvy. But when someone takes the time explain it shows they know what they are doing and enjoy their work enough to talk about it to a stranger, rather than speaking in layman's. Clarice and I were in contact with each other for about 4 days from start to finish. We shared texts and photos explaining where I wanted my garage 240 outlet. And she went out did some research and provided her assessment. After we agreed she bought the parts and did the work. Her schedule was accommodating and she did the work on a Sunday. She was running behind from another job and kept to her word that she would do the job that day. She also noticed a mistake in my panel and corrected it at cost. Highly competitive price compared to others in the area. She worked as a practiced professional. Her work resulted in a professional installation of a 240 outlet, correction inside of my panel, and at a price that was lower than most of the others I received quotes from. Thank you!

Originally was looking for an electrician to install some outlets in the front of my home for future lighting capabilities. Project was no problem for Wahine Builders. However, being that they were there for this project, I also inquired about building a trellis since they had a general contractors license as well. Had wanted to do this trellis for over two years and had talked to others contractors about it but no one came back with quote. Wahine Builders, with no hesitation, said they could do it along with the electrical boxes. Told them what I wanted and they did it in 3 days. I had completely blowed away with what it looks like.

Clarice responded in a very short time frame (same day!) and provided excellent service when troubleshooting an electrical problem. She was the second company to attempt to fix the problem and succeded with the fix in about 2 hours (the other company gave up and indicated they would get back to us with a bid - they never did). Great service!

Able to find a replacement for a very old part. Preformed repair efficiently. Able to stay after fixing my fan and do a few other repairs that I needed done.

I was contacted by Wahine Builders within hours of making my online search. Clarice met me the same afternoon to install new fans, and advised me that the existing fan might be repairable. After trying to repair it in place, she decided to take it to her shop to work on it and replace it the next day. Finding that the motor was not repairable.. and knowing that it was a rather new fan.. she returned it to home depot for a partial credit, picked up another that matched and arranged to install the new one with my tenant that afternoon. I returned the new fans that I had purchased to replace the existing ones. Having recently remodeled my own home and worked with many subcontractors.. I know that this kind of customer service is not usual here on Oahu!

Wahine Buliders are the best to work with, they go beyond what you ask for and are honest and upfront about everything. They are extremely professional and neat, they show up on time and they even finished the job faster than expected. Initially we just wanted to upgrade our electrical panel, but we had them change our garage lights and install a timer on our hot water heater (this will save us lots of money).
