The next day, the workers started. The owner and I previously discussed that I could cut down on the cost if I purchased the pavers myself. To follow-up and confirm his suggestion, I called... and text messaged.... and again, no response. After 5 days of constant calls, texts, with no response, I made the decision to buy the pavers. After they installed the pavers, I contacted Eastside Masonry and asked to provide a new proposal since I paid for the pavers myself. The secretary said to provide the receipt and the company will reimburse me.
What?!?! Let me get this straight. The company actually made more money off of me because they didn't have to drive to Home Depot (especially during the Christmas rush) and they got a good deal off the pavers! Where is the savings if I bought it myself? How about the man hours I spent driving, loading/unloading, taking off of work, and cost I had to pay for gas, etc. You know, the "savings"?! The secretary said that since it wasn't in the contract, that a cost of the pavers was all they would cover. So once again, how do I save money if I bought the pavers myself?
I am very disappointed with the poor customer service. I was expecting more, especially from the owner of the company! I do not recommend using Eastside Masonry, because once the contract is signed, you will not hear back from the owner.
We're on a ridge and the high corner house foundation was cracked about 2and quot; on one side and leaning 2 inches on the other,. They repaired everything expertly.
