Contractor did a wonderful job of:
1) carefully assessing the problems,
2) estimating the cost of materials and why he recommended certain brands over others,
3) showing what needed to be done and how they were going to execute it, and most importantly,
4) thoroughly explaining why certain protocols were being followed to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to maximum safety standards.
For example, Stan did not want fires to be started from cutting tools, so he and his assistant were careful to wet the wood before starting the job. When going in, they discovered an old rats' nest in the wall and cleaned it out.
Stan also required the use of a separate contractor (carpentry and electrical) to open and close the bathroom wall in which both plumbing and electrical lines were housed. The subcontractor also removed and replaced the trim around the shower wall. The job was beautifully done. We are extremely pleased with his professionalism and expertise in his field and those that are closely related in the housing industry. We learned a lot from this experience and highly recommend Stan's Local Plumbing to others who require this type of work.
When Stan came, he assessed the situation quickly, and proceeded to do a VERY complicated repair that would enable me to have the hot water. I watched him create a new pipe and not disturb the other old pipes. Unbelievable!! He is very talented!!
Needless to say, I have found my plumber and know why so many of my friends use him and why he has so many good reviews.
