Later he submitted a quote which was very reasonable. At the time I enlisted him as a possible contractor, the condo owner was going to foot the bill.  However, several weeks later the homeowners insurer and the condo association insurer got involved.  Another contractor was called in by the insurer.  The owner of the condo chose the much higher quote from the other contractor because of the owner's high deductible. Shawn was very professional, kind, knowledgeable and seemed sincere and trustworthy.  I will definitely call Square One again when I have another project that needs a good contractor.

Shawn, the owner, returned my call right away to set up a meeting. He's busy so getting a firm start date was touch and go, but once that was set, the work started and finished on schedule. It was messy work but the Square One team went the extra mile to minimize dust and clean up. I'm hoping to use them again as the project moves forward. Shawn has good ideas and is helpful in exploring options.

My husband and I hired Square One to remove the ugly old popcorn ceiling of our house that we just purchased. The job was very labor intensive and messy. Shawn, the owner, gave us a great bid and he came highly recommended. Since the job involved several steps of waiting for things to dry, etc. it took roughly 4 days to do 2600 square feet. Shawn and his crew came in and went straight to work, taped things off so I didn't end up with dust everywhere, and did the work so quickly everytime I came to check on the house I was amazed. I highly recommend using Square One for general contracting or remodeling. He is very competitive with his bids and his workers look nice/behave politely (not sketchy like they just got out of jail or rehab). I will have him do more work for me in the future as the need arises. Square One is the great solid choice...you WILL NOT be sorry.
