He can do decent inside finish carpentry. He is incapable of doing adequate exterior work in Hawaii. He doesn?t understand the necessity of dealing with ground moisture or termites and when these needs are brought to his attention including references, he had a tantrum that involved cursing, berating me and trying to bully me into pretending he was right. In addition, he does not know how to create an estimate and rather than discussing the matter when he realizes he under bid, he tries to make up the money by padding the hours that he put in, charging 10 hours to paint a door and small portion of wall. When this was brought to his attention because our neighbor knew when he was here as the work was done outside on his side of the house, he again had a tantrum, throwing things, cursing and swinging his arms about to the point that my police officer relative was coming outside preparing to intervene and the neighbor came out with her shepherd preparing to do the same. I cannot recommend that you hire him in spite of the fact that he can do very good inside finish carpentry.
