Chen's Store - Kailua Computer Repair Center

Jeff, is great. He analyzed the problem quickly and took care of the situation. It was really great that he explained it and gave me strategies to take better care of my computer and cell phone. He explained some of the issues around power surges. I hope I won't be back, but if I need to I will be back.

I don't usually post reviews but I have to after the experience I had with this business. I bought a computer from Chens Store less than a year ago and had to return to them 3 times to fix problems with it because of crashing. Windows had to be reloaded on one occasion and I lost all of my work. The computer was working OK for awhile until it recently would not start up so again, I took it back to Chens to have them diagnose it. This time they said that it had multiple problems and had to install new components. I wasn't about to give them any more of my money. I declined and told them that I was very unhappy with the purchase but they really didn't seem to care. When I originally purchased the computer from them, I asked them about other brands such as Dell, Hewlett Packard, etc, and how his products compare. I was told that those brands were not good quality and how he used to work for them so he knows and how great his products were. BS. I've never had anywhere near the amount of problems with any other computer that I've owned from these companies. Finally, he doesn't stand by his products. He'll just give you the boxes for all of the components so you can call the companies yourself to deal with their warranties. Never again will I buy anything from this business. I really like to support small businesses but when they rip people off, forget it.

His service was very good, he fixed it right away and he gave my sister a few suggestions and tips about her computer, and the price was very reasonable.

The technician took the time to show me the virus and explain the type and impact on my computer. Showed me how to back-up my files once my computer was repaired. I hope I have no future problems but I would go to them again.

I brought my 6 yr old PC in to Chens Store and paid the 36 dollar diagnostic fee late in the afternoon. Early the next morning they called me with a diagnosis and cost of repairs. It needed a new power supply a cooling fan a main memory chip and clock battery. Total cost was $185 (after they deducted the diagnostic fee). I okayed the repairs and they called me to pick up the repaired computer after about an hour.
Jeff Chen then spent most of the next hour going over the start-up programs with me as well as updating programs for me. He advised me on how to keep the computer running at top speed.
The store once again gave service beyond what I expected. I recommend them for any computer problems you might have. They are conveniently located across from the Kailua Library.

When our family computer's display became hard to read, i purchased a new monitor to fix the problem. I should have gone to Chen's Store first. My new monitor was no better than the original. Chen's diagnosed my problem and repaired it and we had our computer back the same morning.
The price was reasonable, the service quick and friendly.
Chen's is conveniently located right across the street from the Kailua Public Library. I will definitely use them in the future!
