I bought a used pickup, 07 ford F 150. high mileage. I knew it had some issues, but the price was right. On the recommendation of a friend I took it to Route 66. Mike checked everything out and made some recommendations. Found that the differential had the wrong fluid in it, and had some wear. probably the source of the clunking sound but not to the point it needed replacing. Found some other things that may need attention in the future but were still ok for now. He explained what he found and what he was doing and why. He made some other suggestions to save money on future work. They seem very knowledgeable and honest and are clearly enthusiastic about their work. Good price for all the time they spent on it.

I have been using Rags German Auto for about 2 years. I have an older Mercedes and he has done a lot of routine maintenance and some repairs. He seems very knowledgeable about Mercedes, and I would assume other German autos. I originally took my car to him after calling about 6 or 8 places to find someone to service my transmission. It is supposedly a sealed unit and requires no maintenance, but Mercedes changed it's mind after some of them failed. He was the only one who took the time to explain to me the whole story of the change of mind and the new recommendations. His price was also lower than 2 other places, one a transmission specialty shop and the other the local authorized Mercedes repair shop. I know $150.00 seems like a lot for an oil change but consider it takes 9 qts. of Mobil 1, which is nearly $9 a qt. even at walmart and the filter is not cheap either. Mercedes parts are expensive and there's not much you can do about that, but his labor prices seem very reasonable.
