The estimate to fix the wipers was over $600 because they wanted to replace ALL of the switches around the steering column. I asked them about it and they said that if I wanted to buy the part, they would install it and just charge me labor. overall, they are good, but it doesnt hurt to get a second opinion. I like the fact that when i asked why the estimate was so high, they were up front with me about it and once i told them i wanted to consider just replacing the one switch instead of all of them, he said, 'yes out main Toyota guy is out. Let me research this for you further.and quot; I had already done the research, so it wasnt necessary.
They even gave me a ride home when I dropped the vehicle off.
Theyre not perfect, but I like them and will continue to use them.

I bought a used Nissan Pathfinder. The first problem I had with it was brakes. The thing pulled way to the left, very dangerous. I took it to the dealer, Kona Nissan, and they wouldn't schedule an appointment for months because they were too busy doing warranty work on Chrysler products. Since I didn't want to kill myself or someone else, I started looking. Went to an outfit called JAWS, Japanese Auto WorkS, He said he replaced the master cylinder, but the problem persisted and he couldn't show me the used part (which was under warranty, so I lost $80, there). Kept looking and found Lex Brodie's. Dan diagnosed the problem and suggested that rebuilt after market brake parts were not the way to go, so he ordered an OEM master cylinder. Problem solved. Only cost an extra $100 over the rebuilt after market part, but the car is safe.
On another occasion, I drove the Pathfinder off road and knocked the muffler loose. Car drove great but sounded pretty loud. Took it to Lex's and Dan had his welder fix it on the spot. Took less than 20 minutes and cost $30, substantially less than his minimum.
Using Lex's is a simple decision.
