Do not recommend. They refused to let me pack my own items, so I had to pay them extra to pack. They threw things together in large boxes, damaging fragile items. Boxes mislabeled. Furniture damaged. They claim the movers on the receiving end unpacked (they did not). They were happy to take my money with reassurances they would take great care, and once I contacted them about the problems, they did not respond in a timely manner. Still trying to resolve this issue, as they do not follow up. They asked for photos to prove that the movers on the other end did not unpack because "they are getting 2 sides to the story". Why would I contact them about that if there was no problem? I have better things to do with my time than deal with their stonewalling. Very unprofessional company. Do your own packing and hire someone else to ship it.

The main reason I am dissatisfied is overall lack of communication between Kona Trans and their contractors.
Over the phone, Kona Trans was always civil and polite.  I could tell they intended to provide professional service. 
They returned phone calls, notice the higher rating for punctuality.
The delivery of the pro part  was tough for them.
On what I consider to be short notice, I found out from Kona Trans the
move would cost me an extra 500 bucks.  WOW, they had posession of MY
container.  The notice was two days before delivery, after calling Kona
Trans two months previous, and getting detailed quotes.
Kona Trans should have communicated much better regarding what would be required to do the job,
in order to provide an accurate quote.  I was promised it would be a single payment.
The extra 500 bucks was to be cash or money order only, per KT, and we had only cash, and KT did
not give me a receipt until we called back .
Kona Trans does not seem to understand that the last minute price jacking is unprofessional,
insomuch as they had my container, and it could have been avoided.
