Buying ceiling fans can be a daunting experience. There are so many to choose from and not all fans are created equal! Some of the big box stores carry well respected brands, such as Hunter Douglas. But what they will not tell you is that there are different grades of fans, and the big box stores do not necessarily stock the best ones. My wife and I recently moved to Maui and we desperately needed to buy several good quality ceiling fans for our home. We checked out several stores in Kahului, and by far, the very best one is the Maui Fan Company. This firm has a good selection of ceiling fans, and they only stock the best ones. We received very helpful advice from Helen, who has been selling fans for many years. She not only told us which fans would work the best in various parts of our home, but she was able to help us customize the fans with different fan blades and lights. In addition to stocking a large number of fans, this store has EXCELLENT installation service. The store owner (Tim Wines) and his assistant (Miles) did a wonderful job in installing five ceiling fans in our home. He even helped us by rebalancing a couple of existing ceiling fans that came with our house. What nice guys!!! For great customer service at very fair prices, I highly recommend the Maui Fan Company.
