It went well. The clog was about 25 ft down the pipe. The plumber did a wonderful job. Fair price also! Will definitely call Allen’s next time I need some plumbing work done.

Very smooth. I made an appointment with Allen's Plumbing and purchased a replacement faucet from Lowe's. Randy showed up on time and swapped out the faucet in about an hour.

Fixed pricing. Would rather have time & materials billing. Would have been cheaper.

Solar hot water system not working. Allan's plumbing came and said it was the electrical solar controll box and cold water plumbing. The repair guy cut a hole in the wall looking for the cold water pipe. He also cut that pipe and did a very bad and ugly job at soldering the pipe. The hole in the wall was never repaired. The cost of his work would be about 200 bucks and would come back to replace the controll box. I called another company and the repair person hooked up a hose to the bottoms of the hot water tank and asked me if water was forcefully coming out the other end. No water pressure. The repair person went straight to the water pump and found the insides were damaged and replaced the parts. All works great, no thanks to the absolutely bad actions of Allan's plumbing. There is no excuse for this type of business action.

Responsive. Called backed quickly to set an appointment. Punctual arrival. Professional and courteous. Service was done fast. They honored a coupon I had with no expiration date saving me $60+. I would use them again. Plumbing is a really yucky job and plumbers are worth whatever they charge to do the job right. It is physically demanding.

Plumbers came by did diagnosis. Replaced thermostat, heating element and anode rod bill was $ 800. Still no hot water then diagnose that the hot water heater was not holding pressure. In the initial diagnosis shouldn't this have been one of the steps. Owner call to follow up and I have decided not to use his services in the future.

Mr. Jennings was pleasant, efficient, professional.  He checked everything and gave me a few tips.  I couldn't be more pleased.  We have used Allen's Plumbing for several years and have never been disappointed.  Richard even called to remind me that it was time for the checkup.  Great service, great company!

The work was well done but was not well coordinated.  It took one week from the time the old shower was torn out until someone came out just to measure for the pan. I was told this would be done the next day.  It took another week before the pan was installed. After that, the work was done reasonably fast. Both times a week elapsed I had to call the office to find out what was going on. I was offered an apology for my inconvenience, but nothing else.

The service was satisfactory.  There was an installed water line that was bent a little but the installer said that shouldn't be a problem.

The plumber was very straight forward and helped us to prove we did not have a leak in our home.  We had been having very high water bills for months and months.  We hired Jerrys plumbing first, he was incompetent,  tore our house apart looking for an alleged leak.  We fired Jerry and called Allens plumbing and he was able to determine we had no leak after running a pressure test throughout house.  He was very professional and helpful to us.
After some investigation of my own, it turned out the idiots at the county water department installed the wrong water meter in our yard and we were being billed for a neighbors water usage.
This experience was the biggest nightmare of my life!

I had used Allen's Plumbing a couple of times before this on a condo in Kahului to change out some pipes and install a dishwasher.  I thought they were kind of pricey even then, every bill was approximately $400.00 or $800.00, but when I bought this house in Wailiku, I found out the real truth.
I called them out to replace the disposal and before they left, I asked them to give me an estimate on installing an outside shut-off valve at the corner of the house, in case of emergency.  The estimate was $800.00.
I was so taken back by the price, the guy explained in great length why it was $800.  The main shut-off was about 30 feet across the yard and they would have to dig a trench which included going under the sidewalk in order to lay new pipe and install a shut-off valve at the corner of the house.
Long story short, I called a different plumber for my next small job and without mentioning Allen's Plumbing, I asked him for an estimate to install a shut-off valve at the corner of my house.  He said,"Well, I haven't used up my full hour, so I could do it now for the cost of the shut-off valve."  Of course, I said "okay."  He went out to the pipe at the corner of the house and quickly installed the valve to the existing pipe.  I said, "I thought you'd have to did a trench to the main."  He said, "Why, the pipe's already there?"
The shut-off valve works fine.  I never called Allen's Plumbing again.

Way too expensive.  Could have done mechanical cleanout of roots but didn't mention it.  Did jet flush (high pressure flush) instead which cost $995.  Overall, job was effective, but way too expensive.  Quoted $3,000 to do about 2 linear feet of inner lining for drain pipe!

They quoted me $500 for a new water saving toilet. That was ok with me, but then they said they had to change the valve on the new toilet, which was another $250.

too long to answer we were new house owners and thought that the heater system would save us money
it really didn't matter we still pay a huge amount.   i think customers should wait at least a year before the by a system.
Don't go with Allens Plumbing!

The plummer arrived on time and replaced the rod. We later learned that what we SHOULD have done (and he should have recommended) was replace the water heater considering the age of the water heater and the price they charged for replacing the rod. Things on Maui are more expensive, but we felt this the charge was too high for this service. However, the gentleman was prompt and professional, it was fixed correctly and as we asked. Live and learn.

Technician was friendly and took time to educate me on what he was doing. He replaced a pressure valve that was on the side of the house fully exposed.  Completely happy with the exception of the price. It seems that $300 was a little high for the valve and 1 hour labor.

What made this work acceptable was the great customer service and quality work provided by Allen's plumber Frank Deutsch.
He made a difficult job less stressful. From the first meeting to get an estimate, to the end to finish up after the contractor was done his customer service was appreciated. This job was drawn out due to delays on late delivery of materials.  Frank kindly accommodated and adjusted his schedule. Frank's attention to detail was seen in his work and and recommendations. Was it not for Frank I would be very dissatisfied with Allen"s Plumbing way of doing business. If you are reading this and plan to use Allen's make sure you get an ITEMIZED PRICED parts and work estimate. They are a lot more expensive than the other plumbing contractors that I got estimates from. Chose Allen's because of Frank taking the time to explain in detail what the best way to go on each project. I was not given a price breakdown for parts and labor. I should have asked for one before starting the work. Carefully check there charges. My final bill had a $250.00 overcharge mistake.
When dealing with their accounts manager it was very upsetting having to argue to make this point. After a while of going back and forth and call backs the mistake was acknowledged and adjusted. The final charges were different from what Frank told me would be compared to the account manager's charges. Questionable on the trust factor on their charges, On top of that they lose my check and I'm notified many days after I gave them the final check for thousands. This left a bad after taste. I would not recommend Allen's Plumbing unless you can get Frank Deutsch to do your work. But you will pay a lot more for their services.
