Overall, Marty is knowledgeable, professional, patient, and responsive. When I first called Marty, he was very courteous. He came to our apartment to see the hole in the drywall. He gave us an estimate a few days later, then a few days after that came back to do the repairs.
The unit below us complained that they were experiencing leaking through their shower roof, from our unit. We ended up replacing our shower pan, since that is what the plumber said was causing the problem. When Marty came over, we took him to the unit downstairs so he could inspect the leak. The unit's management insisted we pay for their damage. When we returned to our apartment, however, he told us that the water stains looked like they were there from before. That information helped us with our insurance person, who is now dealing with the unit's management.
Marty is very upfront, honest, and punctual, which we really appreciated.

Marty was flexible in working in additional work into his schedule.  He always presents all the options in the scope of work with a thorough and prudent discussion of the pros and cons.  He makes maximum use of existing materials.

We do not live in Hawaii but we own a rental home in Hawaii and after the last tenants moved out, there were a lot of things that needed to be repaired and/or replaced. Marty came recommended by our neighbor. She called him and he came over right away. We did a walk through with him and discussed all of the things that needed to be done. During our walk through, Marty really listened to the things we wanted done and he was able to help us focus on what was necessity and what wasn't and he gave us several money saving suggestions. We left town and through email and phone communications, came up with a list of things to be done. Marty and I went over the list, he wrote up a quote and got started right away. We came back to Hawaii after the work had been completed and were very happy with everything he had done. Marty is professional, trustworthy, reliable, dependable, easy to work with and skilled. He took great care with our home and we didn't have to worry about anything. We will definitely hire him again in the future and are thankful that we found him.
