Simple.  Pointed out what needed to be removed and he did the rest.

I needed to fully clean out a home (3bdrm/2bath) after the owner had passed away. I looked into ordering a dumpster, but decided hiring a professional hauling company was a better option given I don't live on the islands and had limited time. I contacted two companies on Monday morning, April 13, and Pacific sent over a representative (Ray) early that afternoon. I ended up selecting Pacific Junk Removal based on their estimate and my interaction with their representative.
The house contents included three beds, three bureaus, two desks, two sofas, one love seat, dining room table, numerous coffee tables, four cabinets, and lots of household good. I had donated the better clothes, linens, non-expired canned goods, and electronics (TV & computer) previously but things were still very cluttered inside given the amount of built-in cabinets. The outdoor area stored a couple of lawn mowers, wheel barrow, BBQ grill, potting material, yard & garden tools, a few cans of paints, and a container garden built on concrete blocks. The estimate was three truckloads at $675 per load.
A crew of seven showed up Thursday morning with two trucks and began removing the house contents, sorting items into four general groups - combustibles, junk yard, reusables (clothes, dishes, etc.), and I forgot the fourth (electronics?). As requested, I had placed the paint and the garden pesticides in a separate area. Both trucks were loaded up by noon and left to deposit their loads at the proper facilities. One truck and a crew of three returned in the afternoon to continue the work and removed the remaining household items and some of the outdoor items. Since not all of the items (including the concrete blocks) fit into the truck, they stopped by the next morning to complete the job.
I was very pleased with the work and being able to clean out the house during that visit. The crew was very professional and friendly. When they discovered a few "questionable" items like award plaques and pieces of jewelry hidden among the kitchen utensils, they brought these to my attention and some of these I ended up keeping. Not everything happens perfectly and there were a couple of glitches. One jalousie window glass slate was broken trying to open up a window - it was hot and not all the windows open easily since some haven't been used in a while. And an area I had declared off limits had a digital picture frame removed erroneously that I didn't notice until later, but I could have put a big sign up rather than a small sticky note. Overall, I was happy with the work and would use them again.

The person I spoke to assured me that the company's personnel were very experienced with removal of bed bug infested furniture, and that they would need to be attired in proper protective clothing, and would properly wrap the mattress before it was removed from the bedroom to avoid spreading bedbugs and eggs into other rooms on the mattress's way to the door. It all sounded very professional. We made an appointment for 10:00 AM on August 13.
They did not arrive at 10:00. Multiple phone calls obtained only the vague assurance that "they were on their way." Finally they showed up at 11:30 AM.
Then things really got bad.
The crew (which had no protective clothing) was carrying only a flimsy light plastic bag cover for the mattress. This cover was too small for the mattress and split as soon as they tried wrestling it onto the mattress. They started at the foot end of the mattress, then noted that they should have started at the head (infested) end. I asked them to get another plastic cover, and they responded that "the company doesn't give us enough covers." They had no tape with which to seal up the open end of the mattress bag. They had no lifting straps or any other way of lifting the slippery plastic-sheet-covered mattress off the floor, so they dragged it across the living room carpet, with the cover disintegrating as they went.
As soon as they were out the door of the apartment with the mattress, and before they had come back for the TV set, I called the company and expressed my dismay and distress. I noted that their performance was grossly different from what had been promised, and had probably spread the infestation beyond the bedroom to the rest of the apartment, which if true would cost us hundreds of dollars in extra remediation costs. The company continued to demand payment of what they called their minimum charge of $350. I responded that they could sue me if they wished. We finally settled for $150, including the removal of the TV set .
In hindsight, I wish I had stopped payment on the check.

They are the best! There are 43 steps to the house and the young men did everything quickly, efficiently and with a smile. They are very pleasant to work with. I am renovating an old house that was built in 1942, so far they have removed stuff from under the house, in the house and will be back again for a third (probably more) time to remove the rotten termite eaten wood and everything the General Contractor has removed from the house. Amazing work!!!

My first call was to set an appointment for an estimate. Their response was how fast can you be there. The estimate went so well that I scheduled with them the next day. They arrived early on the day of the app't. The crew was extremely personable. Within minutes it was like we were life long friends. And talk about fast. It would have taken me days to demolish the old rusty storage unit. They did it within minutes. I kept on adding stuff to the load so the final price ended up a bit higher than the original estimate. Mostly my fault since I added almost 2x more junk for them to take. I was surprised at how flexible they were to take everything that I kept on adding. I felt really bad after I found out that they had another job to get to yet I ended up filling the truck myself. Didn't seem to bother them at all. They were friendly throughout the whole time there. Almost forgot to say how careful they were not to damage my house with all my junk they had to remove.
Will definitely use them again.
