MTL did a great job and in a timely manner. Sia worked with us and went the extra mile in making sure we fully satisfied with the project. Communication was excellent. He had good suggestions and we have a beautiful house now.

Strange that I made this review a couple of years ago and noticed it was not listed. So here I am writing it again. I have not received ANY receipts for all the work done from Ongosia Uhatafe; we had 2 small bathrooms remodeled & a deck installed outside. I will update my review once I get receipts. Besides that there were SO MANY MISTAKES throughout the process which prolonged the job multiple times. What shouldâ ve taken 2 weeks for the bathrooms took over a month. The wrong tile was installed in one of the showerâ s floor, but instead of prolonging the job even further we just left it as that as we were displaced during this process! I was very specific with every detail on what materials I wanted used, had plans drawn out, sent links from Home Depot/Lowes to specific products I wanted installed such as the vanity, tile and floor tile, I EVEN GOT A SAMPLE OF EACH TILE that was to be used so he could make sure to get the right ones; so he blatantly disregards instructions. +more

Well he did a lot of work for me . Remodeled my kitchen and did some work in my office . The counter tops were not the right size, no over hang but flush with cabinets , there should be overhang of at least 2 inches , the flooring he put in the grout after 6-8 months is falling apart and looks like I will have to redo it. I cant recommend him as he made promises to fix , never did. Seams where things joing are just open not sealed. Overall very unhappy. Maybe good for older house that only requires cheap band-aide fix.

He uses his sons to do some of the work. They are not trained in carpentry work. They are also very sloppy. We had paint and grout all over our outside deck and our orchids were ruined. Mr. Sia was very nice however, very kind and professional and overpaid for the work done. Our bathroom cabinet is horrible. The two top drawers are still very hard to open and we have to pull harder than we should. The bottom 2 glide easily. His cabinet maker was either lazy or clueless about building cabinets. My husband had to get a power washer to try to get the grout clean on the flagstone. It would not come off. One more and still not resolved is the fact that one of the sinks gurgles and makes noise and the water being used in the other sink comes up from the one noy being used. Will probably have to call a plumber to see how this can be resolved. My husband says the installation was just not done properly. So very sad. We had company from the mainland soon after they finished and we were unable to try to fix this before. They were very concerned about the sinks making the gurgling sound and beginning to fill up. Its a **live and learn world**. Next time we will ask others how they got renovations done and go by word of mouth. Very disappointed.

Ongosia Uhatafe and his workers did a great job remodeling two bathrooms. The job was completed on time, on budget and very professionally. I especially appreciated his workers cleaning up each evening, including vacuuming and putting their materials out of our way.

The owner is totally professional, courteously explaining how my front stairwell would be built, including legal factors I was not even aware of! He knew how to place beams for maximum strength as well as appearance, and I could not be happier with the outcome:) His workers were also very polite and sure worked hard! I will definitely use this company for future projects:)

Mr Sia and his team were awesome! They were fair with the price, took all of our ideas into consideration and made it better than the picture we gave them. They were quick to complete the project and cleaned up all of their work each day they arrived/ left. Original price was $4714 but with some unexpected water leakage that was found and some additional work added, it came out to $6K. I would love to add some images of the completed project to brag about his team.

We had dry rot under the eaves of our house. Sia and his crew came to take a look, offered us a reasonable quote, and ended up not only fixing the dry rot but also adding a water barrier next to all of the rain gutters around the house to prevent future problems. This detail had been overlooked when the house was built 18 years ago. We are happy with the completed project and would definitely call Max Builder again the next time we need something done.

Price was VERY competitive, a reasonable supervisor who dealt with change orders easily and at no extra charge. The project was done ahead of time and looks great!

He does have a crew that is able to do concrete drywall and general construction. The after product of the work is not of highest quality
