Low Cost Drain Plumbing

Incredible customer service and quality of work. Used all brass piping to run a line up/over my garage from water main to the water softener and back. Has been well over a year already and absolutely no leaks. Very reasonable price, installation looks great, and got the job done right away. Would give 6 stars if I could!

The job went smoothly, quickly and the finished product was better than expected. Before the job was started John Merryman and his workers helped to move appliances like the washing machine and the dryer (both into the dining room,) and helped to rip out the vanity and take it outside for the heavy duty trash pick up. The wall in the bathroom had to be opened up (essentially removed) to get at the plumbing and see what they (John and his crew) would be dealing with. Then we were ready to get started. First, John and his workers installed dust barriers throughout the hall and other areas (bedrooms) to try to contain the dust generated from sawing a trench through the slab of the house. There was a TON of dust, which was somewhat contained - basically they did the best job possible. Next they dug the trench (about 12 feet in length, about 2 feet wide) through the hall in through the bathroom. Lots more dust, but again they really tried to contain it as best as possible. They then installed new pipes and drain lines for the kitchen sink dishwasher and washing machine, and re-ran the line and valves for the bathroom sink. After making sure that everything worked as it should they filled and concreted the trench closed. They removed all the dust barriers and cleaned everything in the hall/bathroom area. John and his workers were professional, courteous, conscientious, and prompt. Their first day of work was scheduled from 7:30-?, they showed up 15 minutes early and stayed until about 5:30 that evening. We thought the job would take about 5 days, and they were done in 2 1/2. I would highly recommend John Merryman and his company Low Cost Drain Plumbing.

- Great communication from the start. John contacted me almost immediately (8 or 9 other plumbers on Yelp with good reviews did not), and had his helper Chris out within a day or two to take a look at the job (water softener and whole house water filter install). - Two days later, John and Chris showed up exactly on time and finished the job in a couple hours. Wow. - Cost was $400 less than other quotes I had, and installation was completely professional with all copper piping. Noting Low Cost also has a 10% military discount... much appreciated John! - Bottom line, great communication, great work, quick turnaround (done same week!), and great price. John Merryman from LCDP and his two crew were exceptionally punctual, professional and finished the job on time and well within the estimated budget. In order to complete the job the washer, dryer and dishwasher had to be moved (into the dining room!) and the bathroom vanity had to be removed (we threw it out and will be replacing it soon!). All appliances were returned to their original locations with no damage or problems. When cutting through the slab the concrete saw created TONS of dust, but thanks to the experience of John Merryman all areas affected were masked off so the dust was not a huge problem. I highly recommend Low Cost Drain Plumbing and John Merryman.

Matt Henderson was very timely in meeting appointments and project start time.  Due to tricky path around existing electrical system Matt got a second opinion on the project and provided alternative recommendations.  He and his team completed the work in one 12 hour day which we expected would take at least 2 days. He was so concerned with appearance of visible work that he returned and redid a tricky connection to improve appearance.  Team was extremely flexible working around family events and minimized time water service was shut down.

Is a happy experience.

Over the past ten years, Matt is the most responsive and professional plumber we've used.  He responds quickly either via phone or text message...no waiting all day for a response.   He arrived on time and told us his plan to work on the exterior master valve replacements first which required turning off the main water supply.  He verified with my wife that he was cutting off the water for a period of time.  The total time was almost four hours and Matt worked methodically through each connection and repair.  His friendly demeanor and responsiveness to any questions added to the positive experience while doing the arduous work of plumbing.  We would not hesitate to use Matt again.   I recommend him to my neighbors.

Used Pro Rooter various times for rental property (don't remember the dates) 09/24/2012that I manage and also my own home. I always call them for drain clearing. They also do some minor plumbing but I find their drain cleaning to be their best service. Quick, professional, and inexpensive (about $80). One of their plumbers wanted to re-route my pipes but I had to explain to him that the others just disconnected a section of the pipe to get better access for the snake to unclog the pipes. 

.  Matt called before he arrived and got right to work on my plugged up sink.  I was concerned about the adjoining  unit and took made sure  not to damage the connected drain.  He was very component and fixed the drain quickly.  He charged a flat rate and there was no surprise fees.
