Dr. Obara and he staff are outstanding. Besides the quality of care, the prices were ultra reasonable. I am new to the Island and my beloved Persian rescue fell ill in a flash. The ladies were so gentle and loving to Ashley during all of her different blood and X-ray testing. Aunty Dianna is such a gem and sweetheart!
I came yesterday on a busy Saturday, but the wait was still reasonable and their clinic is a well operated, organized and well oiled machine. There was plenty of parking and creature comforts.
Unfortunately Ashley's situation was very grave. Dr. Obara sat down beyond clinic hours and personally walked me through each line of her bloodwork. He discussed how the different organs where operating and the probable diseases. He said she was at the end of the line and her only option was a blood transfusion, then go from there. The extremely experienced ladies in my rescue group confirmed his findings and said the transfusion is the "Hail Mary."
Dr. Obara gave Ashley a wide spectrum antibiotic shot, and sent us home with fluids and supplies to make Ashley comfortable. God took her from us before I had to make the next step.
