I knew in advance the replacement wood would be monkey-pod, it would not show the age and match the rest of the wood in the chair. I must say, that it was very close and being a weekend woodworker and having built furniture for our home, I was very impressed with the workmanship and I will be returning to have more work done sometime after the first of the year, This shop also builds custom furniture as well. The chairs will last another 40-60 years before the joints may start to come lose in places, maybe not, but it will be a much easier fix next time.
