 + -1 moreOur manager is very manipulative. He makes "CEO" decisions behind our backs and presents HIS choices for rubber-stamping. He is VERY free with spending OUR money. He has sent me several very expensive contracts which I refused to sign. He "negotiated" a 25-year contract for a photovoltaic solar power system for our complex. The "negotiations" were 99% with the investors and 1% with the board, and he did everything he could to railroad the contract through our board. Within 15 minutes on the phone I was able to find a deal that appears to be at least $100,000 better. I have not pursued that to a final offer, so I can't say for sure that it would work out, but he refused to seek competitive bids. We mysteriously only got ONE bid on a $200,000 roofing contract. I now know why. I offered to negotiate the problem as gentlemen with the Hawaiiana CEO, but he just brushed the problem off. So I must personally question the integrity of the company. As president of the board, their manager has caused me a great deal of stress. Needless to say, I will be dumping Hawaiiana's poor services shortly. David Harris AOAO Board President
