Darrell and James were most diligent in keeping in touch with us and scheduling our installation. James and his helper Sean arrived and brought the heater up three sets of stairs and into our unit most handily. James was so skillful and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond navigating obstacles to make our experience most gratifying. James' customer service is exceptional and his knowledge of the task at hand was super!

My solar water heating system hasn't been working well for a while and I wasn't sure who to call to have it serviced. I was worried about being taken advantage of by a "fly by night" solar company that was out to make a quick buck and did terrible work. I came across Hawaiian Energy Systems, Inc. on this site and they seemed to have great reviews. I called Darrell the morning I read the review and he had James come by later that day. James diagnosed the problem and had it fixed first thing the next day. James inspected my entire solar heating system, which is over 14 years old, and made only the necessary repairs so that it would finally work efficiently. James even stopped by a couple of times during the following week to check the system and make sure it was performing the way it was intended. Darrell and James were extremely professional, very friendly, trustworthy, and clearly know what they're doing. They charged what I felt was a fair price for the work they did and guaranteed their work for a full year. I would highly recommend them to family and wouldn't hesitate using them again.

Hawaiian Energy System company got my job done right. Daryl was very helpful in finding me the right water heater with a great price. They had it installed the next morning. James who had install my new water heater was very nice & friendly. His work ethics is excellent & very knowledgable. He took the time to showed me how my water heater timer works. I strongly recommend this company to everyone. I'm very satisfied & happy with my new water heater ;0)

Within 1hr of sunmitted request on Homeadvisor website, I received the call from HES, then from James. Appt. Time @10AM, James showed up at 9:58AM. Not only he repaired the item, but he also taught me many things about water heater maint. so that he doesn't have to see me again for minor fixes. I highly recommend HES, especially James.

James and his helper were outstanding. I feel I got treated more like a family member than a customer. I highly recommend giving Hawaii Energy System an opportunity to help you with your solar hot water needs or any other solar and plumbing needs. I was in awe to find that James and his assistant fixed my water solar heater within the hour of desperate SOS as we were leaving for a trip that very same evening. He was very pleasant, comforting and assured me that everything is okay. Thank you for the promptness and the cost of repair was way less than I expected. I couldn't leave for our trip with family taking cold showers!

James was courteous and knowledgeable when assessing the job. He followed up with the estimate and scheduling the repair. He and his assistant did the work skillfully and quickly. They cleaned up their work well. Recommend.

James was very professional. Did everything he said he would do. Very good work ethics Matt also has a good work ethics, although he is learning he did everything he was told and was professional about it.

I have used them for six installations. If anyone goes with a Solar System, in my opinion, do not make a final decision without talking to Hawaiian Energy Systems as well.
