Description of Work: Renovated kitchen. Took a long time for them to finish the job. Just the contractor and helper and subs. They worked half days which dragged the completion time longer. Quality of work is good. Very neat and cleaned up every day.

 + -1 moreI've used this contractor for several jobs. He's extremely easy to work with. While some contractors will do whatever you want (right or wrong), this one will explain why it might be best not to do certain things that are just not worth the extra cost. I've found over the years of using him, that he's usually correct and he's actually saved me from spending a lot of money on ridiculous requests. This particular job was a redo which meant working with walls and headers that were not particularly plumb or straight. We had an old sliding door separating the vanity area from the toilet and shower area. The framing for it was off. The wall in our vanity area was way off. And a double wall where one of the medicine cabinets was suppose to go was built with 2 x 3's instead of 2 x 4's which required the contractor to use some creative carpentry and triming to make the cabinet look good. We also had an area where a bi-fold door had been framed. We wanted the door removed so he had to make it look nice afterwards. The problem with redoing something is that nothing ever seems to go right. He expects that and turns it around as much as possible. Of all the contractors I've ever used, I'd have to say that he is the best. He's very fussy. If it isn't right, he'll redo it. The fact that I also enjoy his company is a plus because for big jobs, you're going to spend a lot of time around him.
Description of Work: We had our master bath which consisted of two rooms completely gutted and redone. Cabinets above and below the vanity were removed from the first room. In the toilet and tub shower area, everything was removed. When the plumbing in the shower was found to have originally been installed improperly, the contractor went through our cement floor, corrected the problem and centered the new drain for the new shower stall. I had originally asked that the drain be centered for the new shower stall but the contractor explained the extra work and the expenses involved. He ended up doing it pro bono because the plumbing need to be done correctly and that is how he is. Everything has to be correct. He also scrapped off the "popcorn" spray on the ceiling of the vanity area and put a textured paint job up there per my wife's wishes. A solid surface shower floor to ceiling was installed along with a new toilet and a new sliding door separating the toilet/bath area from the vanity. Next was the custom cabinet, vanity, and plumbing fixtures. Then a new mirror, twin medicine cabinets which had to be carefully re-framed in existing walls. 2 x 4 backings were installed in the walls where towel racks, etc. would be screwed into the walls. In addition, the same backings were installed in the shower stall area in case we wanted to put in safety rails in the future. All walls were prepared, primed and painted. And our walk-in closet was also painted.
