I was lead to believe Ernie's Quality Carpentry was an expert in his field. I explained that the opening where the two doors were to be installed was not square and needed to be adjusted before the doors were installed. This was not done. Instead, Ernie adjusted the doors to fit the space provided. This required shaving down a pre-finished door and leaving a very wide gap between the doors. The lockset was installed so that when the doors are fully closed, the deadbolt won't engage. I had provided additional lumber and trim so the opening could be squared up before work began - this was never used. Now I have to hire another carpentry to correct the opening, reset the doors, redo the lockset (if possible) and probably will need to buy new doors. Ernie seemed rusted as if he had other, more important, jobs to get to. After viewing the lack of attention to detail I would not recommend Ernie's Quality Carpentry to any of my family, friends, or clients.
