At every turn, Aaron regurgitates one BS excuse after another.  From "The fan was turning and the heater was working when I left your house", to "A part went missing.  It must have been your previous disgruntled pool guy. In any case, you'll need to pay for the cost of that part."
We also had another pool guy come in to assess the work that Aaron did and our suspicions were reaffirmed that work was done poorly and sloppily.
I would also like to emphasize the casual and unprofessional nature of this kid.  He brought in at least 20 different people over the course of the project to install 1 heat pump.  That means 20+ of his boys getting a look at the layout and back ways of our property.  On a few occasions he even brought over his girlfriend and some of his friends to have lunch at our poolside.
We ended up not paying for the defective heater he installed, but he DID charge us an absurd $7000 for the shoddy "plumbing" work he did.  He showed up at our place of business and caused a scene when we disputed the charges.  
Beware of this kid.  Aaron will sweet talk you and tell you about the amazing discounts he's hooking you up with (after the massive mark-ups), but in the end you'll be getting screwed over.  Please DO NOT let this kid screw you over too!

Aaron the technician was excellent.  He was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. We replaced our speakers because they were rusty and were an eye sore.  We were told by prior homeowner that radio in Jacuzzi hadn't worked for years but were replacing for aesthetic reasons.  After replacing Aaron rewired the speakers and they are now fully functional!!!

I called Aaron and told him I wanted to try to get our hot tub working before our 30th anniversary (5 days away). Aaron was very busy, but said he would do his best to fit me in in the next couple days. He called a couple days later and said he could come over to do an estimate. He showed up promptly and discovered right away that the wires were crossed. He fixed the problem immediately and then tested the functionality of the entire system. The hot tub had never been turned on, but everything worked as expected--two days before our anniversary! Aaron said he'd been worried that I would need a part or that he wouldn't be able to finish the work before our anniversary, so he was happy to have gotten it to work. I was, too! I really appreciated his concern for finishing on time.

We began using the services of Epic Pools October 2013,
owned by Aaron Figaroa.  We used their
service from October 2013 to June 4, 2014 and had many problems with his
service and advice for pool use.
 Epic Pools offered a
special on Angies List.  The special
offered pool service for one year to include:   
Weekly pool cleanings, Provide regular chemicals, Clean skimmer basket, Test water Chemistry and balance water accordingly, Skim water surface, Brush pool walls, Vacuum pool as needed, Backwash filter, Clean salt cell, if applicable.
In addition, we paid him to change the pool to a salt water
pool which looked nice for the first two months.  Then the pool began to have problems from
then on. The chemical balance was always off.  Aaron would miss prearranged service dates. This
created more imbalances in the pool, turning the pool green with algae and
bacteria.   Finally, after months of frustration and not
being able to use the pool safely, we hired another pool consultant to get a
second opinion.  We discovered that Aaron
was not adjusting the problem with the right chemicals and over using other
chemicals.  Also, that the multiport
valve on filter broken, bad gasket,     was out and when the back wash was done, it
pushed the bad water back into the pool. 
Also, when Aaron installed the piping for the salt water conversion, the
pipes were not plum, causing a leak in the pipes.    
The pool never returned to the proper balance, until we
hired another pool company on June 5, 2014.
These pool issues made it impossible to allow our guests’
usage, as it could have jeopardized their health.  When I asked Aaron if the pool could be used
because of its color/condition, he informed me that the pool was safe to use.  On June 4, the pool was greenish, and I again
called to ask Aaron if the pool could be used. He said yes, and then when I clarified
stating my guests have a specific health issue he said “No then you cannot use
the pool”.    Aaron would put shock into the pool and say
the guests could swim right away, yet the other pool person stated it should
not be used for 12 to 24 hours after shock is put into the pool.
Aaron would not return calls for days and when he missed
scheduled appointments he made excuses.  He
would also send unknown and inexperienced staff. 
 I feel that his clients’ health may be compromised should he continue to do business in this way.

weekly pool and spa service, 4 times per month

We have been out of the country for three years and rented our home out. I had been in 12 inches of snow recently and dreamed daily of getting back in my hot tub. Upon return, I found my spa had not been used or cared for. We found Epic Pools through Angie's list and found nothing but high recommendations so we selected them to attempt to repair the problem. The issue was identified quickly and the problem was fixed right away. In addition to the repair work, they went several steps beyond by testing the water, making adjustments and even made incredible suggestions for products to use. Some of which were everyday household products which are far less expensive than "made for spa chemicals". I see no way possible that I will use anyone other than Epic Pools for service in the future.

They did a very good job. They came in and completed the job in the time that they had planned to complete it and gave us a suggestion for what we should use. They also came back out to give us instructions on how to use the saltwater system because we have just changed to a saltwater system from a chlorine system.

The tile cleaning went really well. They were very courteous, called ahead of time, and they showed up when they said they would. They cleaned up very well and scheduling was at our convenience.

Aaron and his assistant were great..Hard working, very knowledgeable, very nice,  fair in price, and I am very happy with the results..Will use them again anytime. Excellent service..

Aaron did a great job. He was so responsive and went above and beyond that I hired him for regular pool maintenance. He has always sought out my input on his service and is very responsive to whatever issues might arise. He went above and beyond and spent many hours cleaning the tile and re-staining all my coping. Then he spent considerable time to learn about my salt water system and my solar heating system including many calls to each manufacturer to learn best business practices and proper settings and care.

My only concern is his becoming so busy that he has to develop other guys to do what he did. It is hard to develop others to give the same care and service as he does personally. This is his key challenge but he has been working personally with a new guy to train him properly and follows up with me to see how he did.

Anyone with a pool and needing service whether new equipment, major service or installation or weekly pool maintenance would be well served to talk with Aaron. He will do what you want and do it to your satisfaction.

Aaron at Epic pool has been very responsive and professional in meeting all of my pool needs.  I purchased a waterfront home with the pool sitting just a few feet from the ocean.  The pool was neglected for months and filled with sea water from the ocean and other nasty junk.  Aaron came with his crew and drained and cleaned my pool and suggested other needed items to be done and he handled the job in a timely and efficient manner.  He was also very conscience of my budget and costs and worked with me to get the job done in the most cost effective manner possible.  I was so satisfied with his service, I started a weekly maintenance service contract with Aaron at Epic pools. I have contacted other pool companies in Oahu, but their price and service was not what I was looking for.  If you want a reliable and efficient pool service company to handle your pool needs, Aaron at Epic pool is your man.  Aaron and his crew are very professional and it does not hurt that Aaron is a very nice guy!  I would highly recommend Epic pools for your pool needs.

Aaron provides excellent pool care.  He is responsive to our needs and will modify his schedule upon to meet our needs (guests or party).  As a new pool owner, Aaron was especially helpful in educating us about how to care for the pool.  When there are mainenance or mechanical issues (pump replacement) he is conscientious in getting us a competitive price.  Aaron maintains a regular weekly schedule for pool maintenance and our pool is always sparkling and in top shape.  His friendly nature and integrity makes him our "pool guy".

Their work has been and is excellent and very professional. My pool is always clean and ready to use. I would recommend Epic Pools Hawaii services to my friends and relatives.
