Today is the sixth day in a row that I've called customer care and repair to get service on our system. Each day I've heard a recording requesting that I leave a message and stating I would receive a returned call. On two of those occasions the voice mail box was full and not accepting messages. I even called the monitoring center and asked them to pass on my service request. We've been alert alarm customers for well over ten years and the customer service has generally been spotty, but never this bad.
We've also experienced regular equipment malfunctions. I used to travel a great deal for business and would leave my family home alone. The false alarms in the middle of the night became so frequent that my wife and daughters would rush downstairs in the middle of the night to disable the blaring siren with no thought that it might be an intruder. Had it been, it could have been tragic. To be fair, of late we've had less (certainly not none) equipment issues.
Bottom line is this, you depend on a security system to work 24/7 and to be maintained by the security company. If you can't depend on it, it's by definition not secure. We've held back from changing companies because of the two or three thousand dollar investment that would be required to install al whole new system, but given nearly a full week of not being able to get through to Alert Alarm, I think we're in the market.

I've used Alert Alarm for my alarm system monitoring since 2005. They provide outstanding service and reliabiltiy. I check my system monthly and they are always friendly and responsive when I call. They have never missed an event sent from my system and even call for low battery warnings and offer to send out a service representative. My system was already installed and I do all of the maintenance and programming of it so I can't speak to those services but their monitoring service is top-notch. I recently checked into having my system monitored by another company but they didn't have an office here in Hawaii (it was in California) and they would only accept me if I purchased a maintenance agreement! My one complaint would be that their prices have gone up little by little over the last 4-5 years but then what hasn't? They give me peace of mind and a local center to call if I have any issues. What could be better.

Representative came two days after I requested survey of needs and quote. System was installed one week later. Second rep came same day to instrust on use.
