Work on my kitchen started on July 7th as scheduled. Today is November 1st and i still do not have a kitchen. it took about 2 1/2 months to actually get the granite and the sink in but the workmanship was terrible. the smallest seam in the granite was 1/4 of an inch. the largest was nearly an inch and smaller shards of granite and epoxy were installed in the seam to "color-match" it. the countertop also had several cracks in it that were "repaired". the back splash was uneven and sticking nearly 1/2 of an inch off of the wall in some spots. the sub counter top was visible in some areas. I had to actually hook up the plumbing so i could get some dishes done. All in all this is the short story. The contractor never called to confirm he was going to be showing up to work. everytime we did call him we were fed another excuse as to why he hadn't finished yet and he would be there in a couple of days because of something terrible that had happened or some other act of God. it has been just a few days short of 4 months now and we are finally pulling the plug on this guy.
