I am very happy with Brian Decker's work, response time and professionalism. He responded right away to my inquiry. Performed the job excellently, as expected, with no complaints or issues. Decker's quote was a third less than three others. Plus he could start immediately and finish the job in four days. Too good to be true, right? On Day One Decker shows up with a crew of two. One had no experience and quit that day. Decker had to redo the guy's work. Next day, Day Two, second guy electrocutes himself--TWICE! End of index finger turns black from burn. He trembles and stutters for an hour. Finally calming down, he quits and sys he is off to Alaska. Insult to injury, the circuits he worked on in bath and porch will not turn off. YES, NOT TURN OFF. The fixtures retained an incandescent glow all night. Decker did not believe me. Only when I threatened to call Fire Dept did he check and then apologetically rewire the Alaska-bound guy's work. Now on his own Decker pushes on alone. Well, not quite alone. Electrical work often requires two people, one at each end of circuit to confirm wiring connections. Guess who became the other guy. Yes, me. --I was getting desperate. Finally, two weeks after start of a four-day job, Decker finishes. and presents a bill more than twice his original estmate, claming the job required a lot of extra fixtures and additional work. Plus he now had a Workmen's Comp claim against him. Decker himself chews tobacco, a big chaw always stuffs one cheek. Concerned about spitting I watched carefully but Inever saw him spit. He said he swallows the juice. Some cash disappeared from my desk drawer about this time. I have no idea where it went but blame myself for careleesness.

"Hello [Member Name Removed], the scope of the work changed so much and you were aware of everything like the kitchen and most of downstairs you said was all new so none of that was in the quote. You also added several outlets, fans, fixtures and new feeder to downstairs panel because it was only fed with120 volt instead of the required 240 volt. You said another electrician had already replaced knob and tube in several areas so my quote did not include. Upon replacing all devices wich was another change order we kept finding more old wiring and I feel bad for you that who you had do it the first time did not eliminate all of that wiring and it fell on us to do a thorough job as you wanted "all" knob and tube eliminated. You were made aware every time we discovered more issues and it would add to the cost. You chose not to cut open drywall and we had to come up with methods of fishing wires as much as possible and wire mold as last resort. As far as helping me pull wire, you had offered several times to assist but I only took you up on it once where I climbed under the house and asked you to screw the locknut on the conduit while I pushed it up from underneath. My other worker didn't just take off, he had his trip planned for months. A job that size we just completed 2 of them, total rewires and they costed between $16,000 and $20,000 and they removed all the drywall. I kept feeling bad about your situation and charged very little extra. I am sorry you feel this way but your home is now completely knob and tube free. Mahalo."

Great... he was delayed and called to let us know (15 minutes). He proceeded thru the issues and managed to get it taken care of quickly. They are a little pricey but they're licensed, insured and knowledgeable. John took his time to explain the whys of what was going on.

The job was completed. They had communication issues. The size of the box was too small for the space in the wall from which the old one was removed, which required drywall work to compensate. The workers were pleasant and flexible and listened for what we needed. The price was reasonable. Overall the work is satisfactory. There were, however, preventable minor hassles.

Decker was on time and checked a number of outlets and switches per agreement. He found a number of receptacles and the fan switch needed replacement. He went out an purchased and install. We agreed on a price for the extra work before he continued. Price was very reasonable. Quality was very good (everything still works)

Over the phone estimate was honored after an in-person assessment was completed. Many questions were asked on both sides with pricing options and recommendations. Final work was completed according to original request with ample clarification. "Thank you" for the prompt service and installation before our vehicle arrived!

Wonderful! They were very nice. Did the work so it fit our schedule. Made sure we didn't overpay on anything. Helped with permit and communicating with electric company. He also is helping us with a project at an apartment complex where a different company messed up.

Very pleased with Brian from Decker Electric. It was a relatively small job and the $300 service charge might be a little more than others would charge, but I suspect others would have piled on some additional charges for parts, etc... But he was here the day after I called... Right at time he said he would be... and done in an hour. Looks great, works great. Will definitely hire again.

A crew of 2 men arrived in the time window specified. Completed all the work and cleaned up in less than one day. Friendly, neat, and quality professional work. They were flexible and able to complete the job in a key time frame for me. They were not the cheapest, but do you get what you pay for. I would recommend them and use them again with no hesitation.

They were punctual and communicated accurate information. I called in the morning and Brian answered the first time I called. He let me know when he would be able to contact his employee to verify when they could stop by to do the work. He called back shortly and informed me his other electrician would be by that afternoon. John came at the time he said he would and fixed the problem. Brian told me the minimum and he John did not try to haggle or stretch time. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Brian was great. He immediately got in contact with us and came out to give us a quote on the price of the installation within 48 hours. They worked around our schedule, which was great because my husband and I both work full time and have 2 children. They also installed the fans on a Saturday and the installation was complete in just a few hours. They were very friendly and kind to my five year old who was excited to see them and wanted to know what they were doing. The fans look great and Brian even drove to two different places to get a face plate that looked nice. Overall a great experience.

I was very happy with the end result. It took a little more time than expected due to my concrete ceiling but John was determined to do it right as my other fixture apparently fell off the ceiling due to the shortcut of using drywall screws on the concrete ceiling. The fan went up in a jiffy with no problems at all. John even did me a favor by mounting a kitchen clock for me that I have been unable to successfully do myself. I would definitely recommend this company from their prompt reply ,professional work and follow up to make sure I was satisfied

Decker Electric is a family owned business and is extremely helpful with projects. After trying to get quotes for some custom electrical work from other electricians and ending up with people who were not understanding what we needed (and drastically over charging), we found Decker Electric. Since we had custom work, we needed someone who was open minded and affordable for our project as we are a start-up company. Brian was interested in what we were doing, found it very unique and really worked hard to finish the job. We appreciate Decker Electric and would recommend them to anyone!
