I suspected that the rugs were not really silk. WHITTCO & MEISO confirmed that they were, in fact, silk. they cleaned out cat hair and fur balls, and various dirt from our new baby/toddler. I then put the rugs in storage to prevent further damage. I was very pleased with the service and price.
