Plumbing Pete

Plumber was hardly ever punctual.  He would make an appointment via phone call or text message and not show and not call to cancel. When he installed bathroom faucet, he hurried job and left, saying he would return another day to do other work. He put other customers as priority to my work needing to be done. Note that plumber was a personal friend and used that to leverage his work time here. He told me he was giving me a "friends" discount, but since he never gave me an initial estimate, I don't know if I got a discount. His work, when he does it, is excellent, but don't be his friend and ask him to work for you.

This is the 4th time I've used Pete...1st time was for my dishwasher; 2nd was clogged pipes, 3rd was for stuck garbage disposal, and again today for clogged toilet. Honestly, the only downside to Pete is he's always booked, so the last 3 times I've called he's had to come after hours (I only have 1 bathroom and one kitchen so I choose to have him come after hours instead of waiting a few days for an appointment). He is very professional, very nice, and very quick and thorough. Today's mess was caused by one of the movers using my toilet (ahem - #2) and clogging it with too much toilet paper causing a nasty watery mess. I called the moving company first and they agreed to pay for the plumber, I called Pete and he was honest about what time he may be able to arrive (7 pm) and I accepted. He called to say he was able to arrive an hour earlier and I was HAPPY. He came in, looked it over, then left to get a part...left an apprentice to snake the main line (which is normally the issue in a high-rise condo). The apprentice called him when he discovered the toilet line was significantly clogged and they needed a different snake. Pete returned and snaked the toilet and the main line, then cleaned up every area of my bathroom they worked on, and then took the info for the moving company to bill them directly. While sometimes the wait into the evening is annoying, Pete is always professional, always gets the job done, and is very reasonably priced - especially for an "after hours" call. I highly recommend his services!
