Solar Panel Service
We signed a contract with Hawaii 5-O-Solar for them to install solar panels on our home. They installed 30 panels on the roof, but failed the electrical inspection twice. This went on for 5 months and it was pretty clear that they were not going to fix their mistakes. I hired a separate electrician to come and fix the work and was finally able to pass the inspection. I needed Hawaii 5-O-Solar to sign my net metering agreement so that I could get credit for electricity that I produce. They were having and inner office feud at the time, and were not capable of signing the metering agreement. After getting another solar company to look at their work, I was told they improperly installed my panels and cut the plumbing vent stack off of my roof. Now I have to pay an additional $7000.00 to have this new company install the panels correctly with struts and flashing along with a new plumbing vent stack.
