He was professional and I understand the cost was standard, but my co-workers told me that when the cost of repairs are high, he normally gives a break on the cost of using the diagnostic machine. They were surprised in how much was charged.

I recently purchased a 2000 Kia Spectra and after 3 days of driving, the check engine light came on and the engine started running very rough. Based on favorable reports I had seen on this website and the proximity of the shop to my home, I called Eddie's and spoke with Brad about scheduling an appointment. It is a small shop and they were unable to give me an appointment that day, but the wait time was just a couple of days and very reasonable. When I did take it in, they had it diagnosed and repaired same day. It turned out to be a bad ignition coil. Garrick called me and explained the issue, gave me a reasonable estimate for repair and promised it by 3 PM. It was ready when he promised and the estimate was right on. When I arrived at the shop to pick up the car, Brad showed me the bad part and explained what the problem was. The car seems to be running well again.

This is a really nice family business. Two brothers run the shop and they do a great job at a reasonable price. They are somewhat a victim of their own success, and they have a lot of jobs waiting...so don't expect "pit crew" speed to get the job done. But the quality is worth the wait, these guys are a good bet for fair, friendly, and honest mechanical work. They told me about a power steering line that was getting corroded and going bad, but after noting it was a return line as opposed to a pressure line, told me there was no need to replace it anytime soon. I would never have known the difference, and had already told them to replace it. Saved me money and time... I will go back to them again.

Garrick took the time to really diagnose the problem with the and quot;Service Engine Soonand quot; light. If he charged me for the dianostic time, it would have run into several hundred dollars of labor. He did not do this. He replaced the max flow sensor and all was well. The turn signal light was fixed as well. It was a pleasure dealing with Eddie's Auto Repair.

Repaired a rapid flashing turn signal, and an intermittent indication of an electrical fault for a turn signal circuit, as shown on the onboard computer display. Based on research and inquiries to other repair shops, I was sure that the socket assembly and perpaps the wiring would have to replaced. (I had attempted to get at the suspected buld to replace it as a first solution, but it was impossible...despite having guidance from the BMW repair manual ! I then called Garrick at Eddie's and he said bring it in...no delay, no waiting. I left the car with him, and 30 minutes later, he called and said he was done...he replaced the bulb and it solved all the odd symptoms. He only charged me $5, whereas he could easily have gouged me, knowing that everyone was hinting a much larger problems. What a breath of fresh air. I will try him for bigger jobs in the future.
