Provider was very friendly, hard working, and responsive, but there were a few spots he just sanded too much, with big visible waves easily detected by running one's hand across the wood.  He is from Mexico and works with his daughter, who operates as a translator for those who do not speak spanish.  I kept asking him about the wavy spots, and he just said it would smooth out once he applied the finish.  The finish came, and the spots remained.  Additionally, there were a number of places where he filled in 1/2" gaps with wood filler rather than adjusting the boards, which did not look very good once completed.  While most of the floor looked great, it was just the few spots that killed it.  He demanded payment but said he would be back in two weeks to touch up any additional places that settled, which will typically happen.  However, as soon as he left that day, I never heard from him or his daughter again, despite a dozen calls, emails, and texts.  I would not recommend him, despite the fact that I give him benefit of the doubt that he believes he did a good job.
