 + -1 moreMover's Direct have been the best mover's I have used to date. They were punctual, courteous, helpful and professional. They helped me pack as well as move. When my flight was late arriving in PA, they were easy to contact and worked with my schedule. Nothing was too much trouble. After the move, if I was unable to find any item, I called Timothy and he promptly replied and remembered where everything was and in exactly what box. And nothing was stolen...not like Costal Van Lines who stole a cable TV box. I highly recommend this company and will ONLY use their services in the future.

They were at our home on-time the next morning and got us unloaded before noon. Nothing was broken in the move. They even moved some furniture around for us until it was positioned just right! They took care not to damage walls or track up the floors in our new home. I would highly recommend Movers Direct!

They handled my belongings as though they were theirs and made this a very pleasant experience! When I move again, I will most certainly contract with Movers Direct and request Tommy and Daniel again! Movers Direct was one of the greatest blessings for me during the worst trying time of my life. I cannot thank them enough!
Description of Work: Finding myself alone, I was facing a move from Nashville to Chattanooga, with very limited funds, and never having had to do this before. I was quite intimidated. As anyone does, I began researching on the Internet, only to become even more concerned. I decided to purchase a membership with Angie's List. BEST decision I have EVER made! I found Movers Direct, and have thanked The Lord daily ever since! Christie instantly put me at ease and I knew right away I could trust her and her company. She listened patiently to my situation, could relate to me, and completely understood. I had spoken to several other companies, so when I spoke with Christie, I knew immediately I had found a very unique company. |I am a school teacher and as such, am very perceptive. Christie was honest, forthright, upfront, and truly did care. I knew I was dealing with a company and people whom I could trust. |When Monday morning arrived, Tommy called when he and Daniel were 30 minutes away. The conversation immediately put me at ease! When they arrived, I could not have been happier! These two gentlemen were honest, diligent, and 100% trustworthy! They wrapped my furniture as though it were for themselves. They took extra-special care with each item and I had not one thing happen to anything whatsoever. Even a box of papers received white-glove treatment! |My belongings were moved into a climate-controlled storage unit. Tommy and Daniel removed the moving blankets and wrapped each piece of furniture in three-ply cushioned paper before placing them into storage in the most professional arrangement I could have imagined!! I have no worries whatsoever that my belongings are perfectly safe! |Tommy and Daniel arrived at 8:00am and worked like troopers until 11:00pm. Their energy was tops all day long! They took spectacular care of the very last item just as they did the very first! |I have never written a review before. This is my first. I felt compelled to write this because these two gentlemen, along with Christie, the owner, treated me like family and the sense of trust and confidence was clearly evident from the moment I spoke with her. They packed the majority of my belongings in my upstate New York home, consisting of: (3 bedroom home, den, living room, porch, kitchen, 2-car garage); loaded their moving truck and drove to south Florida. I drove with a friend. We both arrived in south Florida a day earlier than previously planned, and as a result were able to meet at the new apartment on Saturday morning, 11/20 at 9am to make delivery of belongings. Although the new apartment is on the 2nd floor, with one long and one shorter staircase, they cleverly used the lift on the back of their truck to form an off-loading platform that cut half of the 1st staircase in half for fewer stairs needed to be climbed with heavy items. My moving team consisted of two men and one woman and they EACH had a work ethic seldom seen these days anywhere!! I think they took a total of two 10 minute breaks the entire day to dehydrate and eat a bite of lunch! They completely set up my master bedroom and cheerfully carried a few extra items up from my car that I couldn't lift. They were southern charm and professionalism, and we actually hugged goodbye. They were 110% honest, competent,and dedicated to being the BEST moving company anywhere! If I could give them 10 stars, I would!! Thanks, Movers Direct, for wonderful service and extraordinary employees. Thanks, Angie's List for bringing them to my attention!! Mia -A VERY happy member?

 + -1 moreI have used Movers Direct several times now when I need to ship multiple pieces or unusually large items. This past shipment included both. 5 items total, one of which was a 14' long table. They are always wonderful. On Time, polite, extremely careful, and professional. These guys treat moving and packing like a craft of its own. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I love that it is small enough that every time I call I speak to Christy, no automated system, no random call center. Christy knows all the crews and is in charge of the scheduling and makes the whole process easy and personalized. I also love that Movers Direct only has its own crews. These guys care about doing a good job because they are actually part of a team and not just day laborers. Finally the pricing is great. No hidden fees, no complicated formulas, and it is always very reasonable. I plan hope to use them for the life of my business.

 + -1 moreVery well. The two people that moved me were Andrea and Daniel. They were so courteous, and careful with my items. I ended up having to go to the hospital the day of the move. Andrea and Daniel came back the next day to finish packing because of this unexpected event. All of my items arrived on time, undamaged, and everything was placed where I wanted it. Andrea and Daniel also took their time to ensure nothing was damaged and was to my liking. I highly recommend them to others and would definitely use them again.

Christy provided a quote over the phone, it was fantastic compared to other quotes for a private long-distance move (only my things on the truck, straight from pickup to delivery). They were able to get me in on a Friday-Sunday schedule, and managed to arrive on Saturday at the destination (after checking if that would work for us, and it did!). The three men who arrived to load the truck came on a very hot day and quickly discovered that the truck would not be able to come up our driveway because of the steep slope (we lived at the top of a hill). So they had to carry everything from a three story house down stairs and then down the long driveway, then walk back up this steep hill for every load. They did not complain, did not show displeasure, and did not adjust the price. When we unloaded in WI, there was not a single casualty - all the breakable a and all the art was in perfect condition. They even tried to turn down my husband's tip at the destination because I tipped them at the load-in (no way, they deserved it!). I will use them again in a heartbeat.

I recently moved from Little Rock to California. As my employer was paying for the move, I asked Movers Direct if they could pack my belongings to move. They sent two gentleman out who arrived on time on the scheduled date and did an outstanding job. Nothing was broken in the move, and everything was done courteously and efficiently. I HIGHLY recommend them! They moved everything from my home in Little Rock to my new place in Berkeley, California. On arrival in California, they asked where each item should go and carried everything to its assigned place, even managing the difficult ladder to the upper part of my loft.

The lady in the office was extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. This was such a delight, especially when compared to my move from Baton Rouge to Gillette. I did not use this service for that move and it was a disaster from start to finish. I will definitely be using Movers Direct for any future moves I make!!

 + -1 moreAbsolutely the best move I've ever experienced. Movers Daniel, Ronnie and Angela worked incredibly hard, carefully and diligently in 90 degree heat and never uttered a single complaint. Arrived on time to destination, put all boxes and furniture where we wanted and reassembled it. Since unpacking we found exactly one broken cup handle, and we packed ourselves. Everything else accounted for and intact. So much better than the huge van line companies we used in the past. The best thing is that they give you a price in advance, and they honor it. No surprises, no sticker shock. Great people, great company. Use them!

 + -1 moreI called a number of movers - the well-known names - None of them wanted to come to a small town out in the boondocks of Iowa -if they did, they would not guarantee the dates of pick up or delivery. The only mover who would show up at a specific time and date and deliver on a specific date was Movers Direct. The office manager was friendly and business-like, promptly sending me, via email, an estimate with guarantees. The moving crew - Daniel, Andrea and Brody - showed up on time, worked quickly and well, and were personable and informative throughout the process. They were immediately forthcoming about anything that appeared damaged, either pre-existing damage or moving damage - of which there was very little, all minor. They delivered our r household goods on time and in good condition. The invoice was exactly the amount in the estimate. I recommend this company to anyone, with pleasure. and without reservation, and I will go to them first if I have to move again.

 + -1 moreChristy was extremely easy to work with, providing a quote within minutes and scheduling the move for exactly when we wanted. Movers Direct has their own employees and trucks and doesn't sub the work out to others. They're in control of the move. Since I had a 950 mile drive to meet them in Texas, I called Christy to confirm that everything was on track. She took a few seconds to look up the move details and confirm. After I arrived in Texas, I called to ask if the move team might be able to start before 9 AM, which would help me. Christy said they were currently finishing up about 100 miles away and asked if I'd like them to come that afternoon. They showed up a few hours later and completed the load ahead of schedule. On the drive back to Colorado, they called to ask if we wanted to stick to the planned delivery and unload schedule on Monday morning, of if we'd like them to unload on Sunday afternoon. They finished up just before sunset, placing everything exactly where we wanted it. Everything was delivered in good condition. When they opened the truck, it was obvious they had done a good job packing as nothing had shifted. When the move was scheduled, Christy took a credit card down payment of 25%. The remainder was paid by credit card at the completion of the move. I had quotes from 6 other companies and Movers Direct was very competitive on price and a standout on service and responsiveness. Roy and Tim did a great job. Over the years, I've had 4 other interstate household moves. This was hands down the best.
Description of Work: Moved approximately 1600 cubic feet of furniture and household goods from our 10x20 storage unit in Tyler, TX to our new home in Pagosa Springs, CO. Approximate distance 950 miles.

 + -1 moreive moved over 12 times and I have never experienced the communication or skill quality of these movers. Ricky, Zack and Chris were the epitome of professionalism. There was no talking on cell phones or chit chatting. They worked and worked hard. I moved from a three level town home to an old historic home. Ricky can pack a truck and he packed a ton. All three worked non stop, except for a quick lunch I insisted on. In Carolina there was difficulty getting pieces up the stairs, but the brought the queen box spring up over the second story porch. Their manners were impeccable. I have the utmost respect for them. Last but not least Christie who is the mastermind on scheduling, was exceptional, very professional, and communication was awesome. Thank you all for making my move the best yet.

 + -1 moreMovers Direct was a fabulous service! I had spoken with a number of companies and gathered bids. When I called Movers Direct I was impressed I always spoke with Kristy who was very patient and very knowledgeable. There were 3 crew members who arrived on time to load the moving truck and 2 of the 3 crew drove the truck to Arkansas and unloaded our stuff 2 days after it was loaded. They all took great care with our items and I was very impressed with their packing ability of fitting it all in the moving truck. My 2 year old was also around during part of the loading process and the movers were patient with him as he tried to "help." When the movers arrived to unload they again took great care, were very professional and even willingly put stuff in the attic area above the garage on a day it was 116 heat index! We will definitely think of using the company again!

 + -1 moreLet's start with the coordinator, Christy. She was a real pleasure to deal with even I had contacted her several times to make changes prior to the move. There was 4 movers in Bradyville that did an excellent job of loading the truck and were very nice and polite. They had everything loaded in a short amount of time while be very careful in the process. In Bradyville they gave my mom and sisters their contact number and even asked my sister what time she would like them to arrive at her on Friday. Only took a couple of hours to unload what was going to my sisters house. At my sisters house they loaded 15 18 gallon totes to go with the rest of the things to storage. They arrived at storage and did more than just unload they asked my mom and sisters how they would like the things arranged in the storage unit. In Michigan there was 2 movers and they were also polite courteous, careful and efficient. I would highly recommend this moving company to anyone.
