"Fantastic representation and company. Greg, Trent, and crew removed 12 old windows and installed 12 new ones in a few hours with fantastic trim work and attention to detail. Next year we’ll do the remaining 12. Their price was fantastic compared to the nationally advertised brand. My highest recommendation."

"Provider offered to begin the work a week earlier than the agreed-upon date, which we liked, because usually it is the other way around. We also liked that all unforseeable extras, like wood rot under the shingles or flashing, were discussed beforehand with very fair price tags attached to them. There were aways enough people on site to get the job done as quickly as possible. When a problem arose, the contractor dealt with it in a very accomodating way. The quality of the work and the materials used seemed very good to me, but I am no specialist. Bottom line: A contractor experience more pleasant than what we usually found on the island.

"This was one of the most efficient and successful AC jobs I’ve ever seen done! Before I knew it, they were done and used their own discretion in making decisions that worked out very well for me."

"Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. In the end we received a very good paint job on a timely basis and at a competitive price. I have already recommended Mike's Painting to others in my neighborhood and would use him again for future painting needs.

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Smart glass doesn’t use a lot of electricity, and you can expect a standard window to add between $1 and $2 per year to your electric bills. Smart glass is proof that energy-efficient windows work. Although your smart windows may consume a little energy to operate, they can save enough energy to offset the costs. If you’re concerned about the minimal bump to your electricity consumption, you can opt for smart tint, which doesn’t require electricity to work.

Glass fences are extremely strong. You can drop 10mm thick tempered glass on concrete and it wouldn't break. Considering that certain types of glass are bulletproof, glass has the capacity to be exceptionally durable and resistant to breaking. Certain types of glass, like laminated glass, are designed to not shatter at all, but rather break into giant pieces.

Replacing a glass pane is much less expensive than replacing your entire window. The average person will pay between $180 and $400 to replace a glass window pane. This price can vary based on a ton of factors, including labor costs in your area, special window treatments, and the number of panes on your window.

Yes, you can replace just the glass pane in a window without affecting the surrounding frame. This is a complex process, so it is best to hire a window repair professional to handle the task. A technician will cut the seal, remove the old glass, install the new pane, and properly seal it. For double-pane windows, this includes creating a vacuum between the panes and filling it with insulative gas to restore energy efficiency. Professionals can also help you choose the right type of glass for your window. This repair process is almost always more affordable than replacing the entire window unit.

All of the things you use to help you get clean can leave your shower door looking dirty. Water can leave mineral deposits as well as unsightly spots when drops of water dry on the glass. Soap and shampoo can cause build-up and residue that leaves a layer of soap scum in your shower, which then attracts dirt. Mold and mildew can also contribute to dirty shower doors; these fast-growing organisms thrive in areas with poor air circulation, damp conditions, and residue from things like soap and shampoo.
