I am very sorry that this customer misunderstood what I told him. I do my presentations the same way every time so that I treat every customer the same way and tell them the same thing. I have been told by numerous customers that I have the most thorough presentation of any roofer they have met with. I encourage every customer to contact me if they have any questions or concerns. I feel bad that he chose to post this review without contacting me to explain what he was confused about. I assure anyone reading this that every word that I told him was true and accurate. I am a licensed insurance adjuster so I know the language of insurance policies and adjuster summary reports. I try to do a very thorough job of explaining the insurance claim process so every customer knows what to expect and how long things will take. I did not nor will I ever "try to pull a fast one" on him or any customer. I explained to him that his insurance company will take his deductible out of what they pay him and he is supposed to pay his deductible to his contractor (me). This is clearly written in every home owners insurance policy and every insurance agent and adjuster will back me up on this. When I told him that I was giving him materials for free I explained to him that I was going to install upgrade materials i.e.synthethic roofing felt, ice and water barrier, drip edge flashing (which he does not currently have but is required by current building code), premium starter shingles, and shingle over style ridge vent. All of these materials are upgraded materials from what was originally installed and are not paid for by insurance, except the drip edge flashing because it's required by building code. I install these upgraded materials on every roof that I do AT NO CHARGE TO THE CUSTOMER because it is the right way to do the roof. Again, I feel bad that he misunderstood what I told him but he should have contacted me about his concerns so that I could explain it to him so that he could understand it more clearly. I stand behind the spotless reputation of my company and I am the one who is insulted by these slanderous allegations.Service Provider Response
